Me, 5:11 190ish. The coat has an ample amount of down for what it purports to be, although I do not know the weight, (and I've tried them all). Objective warmth is a factor of quality and thickness of insulation, not how you "feel". There are some reviews, (and Marmot website) that say it runs small. Not true. If you wear size L, you will find this absolutely typical. XL is wearable but just a bit too big. Chest and inner chest zipped pockets.

Historically a great jacket with a historically great name! That has changed and I can assume it's because they became part of Coleman, but I have no idea and really don't care. Had it a year, and both zippers bound. They are really cheap zippers. Literally don't work after 1 season. So I contacted warranty support. They claim a lifetime warranty. Yeah- good luck with that. It sends and email, and says they will get back to you in up to 15 days. 23 days expire, and nothing. So I write them again, and I get an email back a week later from them saying "In regard to your inquiry, unfortunately, our Warranty Team is currently dealing with a high volume of contacts, so it takes a longer time to reply to warranty requests. They will be getting back to you as soon as they will have any updates."So they basically had the time to tell me to 'p$ss off' , but not to handle the claim. Their warranty is a total sham. I have a Patagonia jacket that I openly tore. They responded in 18 hours with 3 options to fix it (all btw - included significant expense on their part, even though I was VERY open about it being my fault). Thats real customer service. Don't buy Marmot. unless you get deep discount and treat it as disposable. You get better service from a Ross store.. Basically - your on your own.

lightweight for the warmth. Form fitting for a bigger baffled jacket (size down if you’re like me and understand that down works best when closer to body and not as efficiently when wearing multiple layers in between.) I’m a fit 170lb, 6’1” and had zero problem getting into a small size. I run cold and have found the lighter jackets with smaller baffles just don’t measure up for me in terms of overall warmth-they’re stylish yes, but simply not as warm unless you’re constantly on the move. The two-sided driclime fleece liner hand warmer pockets are a nice touch. Cinch Velcro wrist cuffs are sturdy but I wish they’d be lined with a bit of fleece to keep the mild skin abrading to a minimum. Overall a good deal if on sale but at full price I would suggest something comparable with a bit more fill, as other reviewers have alluded to there’s a noticeable decrease in down in the arms and I suspect in the hood as well, hence taking off one star, but overall it doesn’t significantly affect overall performance. Clearly the shell of this jacket is meant to be handled with care-I could see traipsing through prickly foliage as a recipe for disaster.

I live in northern VA. I thought this coat, at a cost of almost $250, would be very warm with many layers of down in it. However, I began to feel chilly below about 45 degrees. Also, it fits on the body tightly--much more so than most Puffy jackets that have less down. I will use it, but need warmer apparel for very cold days. A puffy jacket-with less down-might be a better alternative.

Pues tras un viaje a Rumania en este invierno, he podido hacer un buen test a este chaquetón de plumas. Lo primero es decir que tras investigar en internet y encontrar una web donde prueban los chaquetones en alta montaña este es el mejor valorado calidad precio. Los hay con mejor calidad de pluma (a mayor “cuins” mejor pluma), este tiene 700 cuins que es una buena calidad siendo los mejores de 900 o incluso 1000 cuins, “lo que no te dicen los fabricantes es la cantidad de pluma que te trae”, por lo que puede que estes comprando un chaquetón con mejor pluma pero no por ello más cálido, este es el secreto de este chaquetón, ya que trae una cantidad muy alta pluma haciendolo muy muy cálido.En Rumania lo he utilizado con hasta menos -13 grados y llevando solo con un forro polar y una térmica debajo os puedo asegurar que no he pasado nada de frío, lo que supone una ventaja de no tener que llevar 4-5 capas de ropa y tener que quitarte muchas prendas al entrar en sitios calefactados. En España lo he usado con hasta 15 grados, yo vivo en la costa y en invierno con la humedad siempre la sensación térmica es de menor temperatura. Es una ventaja de la pluma, ya que transpira mucho comparado con los chaquetones de fibras sintéticas. De cara a la impermeabilidad el chaqueton con lluvia continua llega a mojarse lijeramente pero nunca me ha llegado a calar, en este aspecto no suspende pero tampoco destaca, aunque no me preocuparía si te coge una lluvia repentina, eso si, no es para estar andando con el durante varios días bajo lluvia sin hacer uso de sombrilla.El chaqueton consta de dos bolsillos para las manos, uno en el pecho y otro interior también del pecho, en este último podremos plegar el chaquetón en si mismo enrollandose y haciendose un petate pudiendolo guardar por ejemplo si llevamos una mochila. Los puños llevan velcro para un ajuste perfecto. La capucha es bastante grande y lleva dos elásticos para ajustarla, también dispone de una pequeña visera que evitará que nos pueda caer agua en la cara en caso de lluvia. Cuando subimos la cremallera del chaqueton, esta cerrará hasta la altura del cuello y barbilla protegiendonos del frío. En los bolsillos llevan elásticos ajustables que al tirar de ellos se ciñe la cintura, aunque yo no he tenido que hacer uso de ellos ya que el chaquetón se ajusta bien al cuerpo sin tener que tirar de estos elásticos.De cara a las tallas estas suelen ser grandes como suele pasar con las marcas americanas, por lo que tendras que pedir una talla menos de lo habitual, en mi caso uso una M y pedi una talla S, la cual me va perfecta llevando incluso ropa de abrigo debajo.En definitiva, si quieres un chaquetón cálido y que no se dispare de precio no busques más, este es perfecto. El producto es de una excelente calidad. Aun no lo pruebo puesto que es para el próximo invierno, pero el color es espectacular y el tallaje perfecto a diferencia de otras prendas (chamarras) de la misma marca que suelen ser un poco amplias y el broche de Velcro hace mejor el ajuste en mangas, cosa que muchas prendas ya no traen.Totalmente recomendable.

Just love my Marmot jacket. Its cosy and easy to wear and looks good.I had a Black one for years, it done me proud through many bad winters. However while travelling abroad I accidently left it in an Airport and it was lost forever.So I bought a new one and its still the same great quality and I cant wait on the colder weather when I can wear it.Highly recommend Marmot.

La chamarra se siente muy bien, se siente la calidad, no es tan estorbosa como creí, y es muy ligera, bien doblada ocupa poco espacio, aún no la pongo a prueba en frío (alta montaña), pero actualizaré en cuanto lo haga.Pedí la chica, mido 1.65m y peso unos 50kg. Complexión delgada, me quedó muy bien, ligeramente grande, pero para poner más capas de ropa debajo me va perfecta.
