Nice quality. A couple annoying traits to consider.
Great cable with a couple small nitpicks. Bought this to replace the stock cable for the AKG K550 Mkllls which was unusurally long. This new cable is the perfect length for my needs and has a metal wire cage on the surface of the cable (great interference guard). Despite how thick it is, the cable bends just fine; but note that the cable WILL NOT twist/rotate. This causes the cable to coil up and can get in the way if one does not rotate the cable at the jack untill the cable is straight. Also, due to the texture of the outer wire cage, you will hear the cable rubbing against everything (including itself) in your headphones. As for sound quality, I didn't notice a difference compared to the stock cable even while using Tidal premium on my laptop paired with the extremely detailed RHA dacamp L1 as the external sound card (a direct competitor to the Chord Mojo). So was the purchase worth the money? So far, I think so. I wanted a cable which was of appropriate length to be portabe while being of high enough quality to not short out on me. It came with some annoying tradoffs such as cable rubbing noise and twist resistance but overall, it gets tbe job done. Haven't gone back to the stock cable yet.

Definitive upgrade from the stock cord.
I was genuinely surprised by this cord, especially given the price. A lot of cords in the price point are cheap rubber ones which nag, stick, and tear easily. I bought this to replace the stock cord on my Q701s which had torn in several spots from medium usage. It's a definitive upgrade for sure, the build quality of the cord is extremely sturdy, and if it ever rubs along the corner of an object like my desk I don't expect the thing to break. It's very thick, and somewhat heavy. However, they're a little small, which should not be a problem for most people who use Q701s use at least a sound card or a DAC/AMP combo. I had to go into my computer and move my sound card to the uppermost PCI slot, but otherwise I have plenty of room to move my head around and do whatever. It arrived in 2 days flat, and I'm extremely happy with my purchase.I bought these to last a long time, and they seem to be holding up to that.

An absolutely awkward and seemingly overpriced cable.
**Update 03/24/19: The supplied 1/4” TRS adapter does NOT fully attach onto the 3.5mm audio jack. Due to a raised bump on the audio jack (see photo) the adapter just wobbles around and doesn’t sit tightly on. This prevents any sound from coming out your headphones and prevents you from connecting to sources like an amp or an audio interface. I tried 3 seperate TRS adapters and none of them sit flush and just wobble back and forth. Will be returning immediatly. Not sure how this received so many positive reviews. I am going to warn you before you purchase this.-Its at least 80% thicker than the OEM cable that comes with your AKG headphones. Bulky is an overstatement. Feels more like a instrument cable you want to be connecting to your interface than a headphone cable.-The outer material on the wire is extremely rough and grinds and makes noise all over your table and whatever it comes in touch with. Extremely audible and extremely annoying. If your laptop is on a desk or you are sitting in a chair, its GOING to make noise as it drags across those surfaces. And its audible. And its distracting.-Its a lot shorter than you expect. No, seriously, since the outer material is so thick and rough, it wants to fold on itself and go back into the form that you got from the packaging. Doesn't move around freely.-I honestly couldn't tell you that I hear any difference. Absolutely zero. Perhaps if you are a die-hard hi-fi guy and have a $2000 tube amplifier you might notice some differences in staging and a more sensitive high frequency... But I did not. And I have been making music for over 8 years and have very sensitive ears that notice even the slightest changes. My verdict: NOT worth the purchase price, and not worth it due to all the mentioned points above. It does come with a nice leather carry pouch though. Thats about it.Your choice.

Decent cord
Short enough to wrap around your neck once and then slide your ipod into your breast pocket. My only problem is that the mesh layer of the cord has started to come undone at the male end of the cord.

Another product which does its job [excellently]
I appreciate the cable not only doing its acoustic job, but being made of a relatively slick surface compared to the original product cable. I contemplated making my own and purchasing connectors, but after seeing the construction for myself I am pleased with my purchase. I observe no defect in this cable's audio quality compared to the original and the length is ideal to span the distance from my amp on my desk to my head. Although the cable is stiff in general, it coils up nicely.I will likely add some blue LOCTITE to the threads on both connectors, they tend to unscrew while disconnecting the device. I give no negative marks for this particularly because of the quality of assembly and the context of the product usage.

must have for the k240
Super sturdy cable with surprisingly high end connectors. Made a night and day difference in the clarity of my k240s.

hidden gem?
was surprised at the quality of a 30$ cable. Drives my q701's with immaculate clarity. I was at a lab comparing the signal strength of these cables and a pure silver line. There was no humanly perceivable difference.Good job whoever made these.

Four Stars
Great sounding cable. Cable a little on the stiff side but works fine.
