Westcott Scissor Mouse, Blue (15576)

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my vinyl and transfer tape. It also works really well on card stock. It doesn’t seem to work on regular printer paper though. I was able to cut it a couple of times but overall the printer paper is just too thin and flimsy so you do need to use this on thicker paper

This is quick to cut heavier paper with and the guide lets you follow line perfectly but doesn't seem to like lightweight paper

I used this a few times and it worked great. Then I used it and it wouldn't cut the paper- the paper ripped and a piece got stuck in the mouse- I got it out but ever since it starts to cut just fine then ends up ripping the paper. I had high hopes for this product!

I use this to cut HTV & decal vinyl. It works like charm! Every crafter needs one!

Cutting is done ONLY while the wheels of the mouse are rolling (gears from the wheels spins the round cutting blade). If you try to run the paper through mouse, instead of rolling the mouse over the paper (say if you're cutting some wrapping paper and run out of table space so you might be tempted to "air cut" the rest of the way?) you're almost guaranteed at least a nasty snag if not full-on horrid rip.[-] The gears connecting the mouse wheels to the cutting blade feel rather stiff and rigid, to the point where it's hard to turn the mouse wheels by hand while holding it. I'm not sure if this might be a safety feature so the gears are only turning when you've got the mouse down and applying a little pressure to push the wheels?...But otherwise, it feels like if you don't apply enough pressure while pushing the mouse you could end up not properly activating the gears that drive the cutting blade and end up with bad cuts.=== Final Thoughts ===For cutting long, even strips of paper (for crafts and such) or for cutting coupons and other jobs of similar nature that require cutting in straight lines and you've got the space for it, this is a good option. Unfortunately this scissor mouse does have some shortcomings and the cutting mechanism (as others have stated) is prone to breaking with minimal scuffle. For this item, if you can find it for under ten bucks and are extra careful with it, it's a nice tool to have.

The scissor mouse works great with thicker paper. You have to make sure you press down on the mouse as you glide it along the paper. Thinner paper, like recycled wrapping paper, tends to bunch up and tear when trying to use the scissor mouse. Overall, I was really happy with the product though!

This scissor mouse makes trimming posters a breeze. I highly recommend it.

Once my husband and I realized that we needed to put pressure over the "button" of the mouse throughout the entire cutting process, it worked perfectly and made wrapping presents a breeze!! Best gadget purchase in a long time!
