Cactus Juice Eco-Spray

Works very well keeping mosquitos away, and has a light herbal non chemical scent .

I love this product. I am one of those to whom mosquitos and no seeums and all things bug are attracted and also one whose body reacts to bites. Life for me can be ugly when they are around as they were when visiting Roatan. My understanding is that the resort where we stayed is known for the no seeums. This product worked really well but I had to wear it liberally and all the time. One time walking back from the spa (having showered to remove the oil before I came back) I got five no seeum bites. No seeums are worse than anything out there. The little bigs literally cannot be seen as they are the size of a speck of dust. They bite but the swelling and itch only really kick in about 12-18 hours after the bite takes place. Then it lasts for about two days. My body reacts strongly and I had two inch welts and the itching can drive you mad. If your body reacts you have to wear something but deet based products are not nice. Cactus Juice works well and smells good. The other good news is that it is really gentle on sensitive skin. I can wear it on my face as a moisturizer, it is so gentle. I use both the spray and the sunscreen product.

Used to fight off the sand flies in Roatan Honduras while on vacation. I've been to Roatan several times and the beauty above and below the water are amazing, so are the sand flies. These tiny bugs are like chiggers or no-see-ums, you don't realize it and next thing you know you've got a dozed red dots that itch like no tomorrow.I've used a bunch of different products and I'd have to say that this is my favorite. It needs to be applied liberally and often, but it smells very nice, isn't loaded with bad stuff, and it works better than others I've tried. I really try not to use bug dope due to the chemicals and smells, but with the sand flies, I've got no choice (I draw bugs in, I'm the guy that gets bit a dozen times while no one else even sees a bug), I really didn't mind wearing this, and it worked well.

This works ok for the lighter insect nites in Wisconsin, but if it gets heavy- you have no other option but that stinking deet. I am glad I bought this for the nites when the gnats/chiggers are out and not that heavy swarm yet. It's a horse a piece, either take a chance and let your child get meningitis..(like my son had in the past from mosquitoes bite) or spray the deet on the outside of their clothes as need be. We can't live in bubble..but here are times we just have to go inside if I can't keep them away from his face.

I continue to order this product year after year. I live near the water in Florida so biting gnats are the worst. I use this product 9 months out of the year so I can work in the yard or sit outside at night without getting bit. I have used it on my dog (making sure not to spray near his face). I keep it handy for guest and share info with others who want to buy for themselves. So thankful for a nontoxic product.

Okay, I am a mosquito magnet. No, I mean it. I have never met anyone who gets bitten more than me. I am always on the lookout for a good repellent.Cactus Juice works pretty well. I've still gotten bitten using it, but only a few times.So, why only 3 stars? The container sucks. Seriously, the bottle is made of super cheap plastic and the sprayer is not that great. When you try to use the product, the bottle collapses, and the sprayer spews the product out really wide, with nothing in the center of the spray. So, you have to hold the container really close to your skin, and after a few pumps, I am so frustrated that I end up using something else.I know this might sound like a pretty picky review, but honestly, the product is decent, but they need to put a few extra pennies into the container and sprayer so people can actually use it.I LOVE the fact that it is a natural product and I don't smell like chemicals when I use it. ....but that would require the ability to get the product on my skin effectively.I read another review before I bought this product and the review was complaining about the cheap bottle. I thought "...yea....they are being too picky", but then I bought it and I totally understand.If you buy this, it will work fairly well, but you are better off pouring the product into your hands and wiping it on your skin.

Cactus Juice is a non greasy spray with a non offensive, almost pleasant smell. Most importantly: It works!My husband & I often like to relax outside on our backyard patio with a cool beverage during Summer afternoons and early evenings to take in the garden views, the fresh air, and watch the bird activity around our woodland water feature until the sun goes down. Unfortunately, mosquitoes and other flying insects would become bothersome which detracted from our otherwise enjoyable time so I researched various products & decided upon Cactus Juice as an eco-safe alternative to other insect repellants on the market. We find, to our relief and delight, that a light spray application rubbed onto exposed skin areas is all it takes to keep those pesky critters at bay for hours.

Gnats prefer me, especially my wrists and hands. I'm a fisherman, so I have my wrists and hands exposed for their attack. The DEET repellants I applied were not effective against gnats. A kayaker shop owner recommended Cactus Juice, and I was impressed since he had none in stock. I could not find it in other shops, then found Cactus Juice on Amazon. For me, it is 100% effective against gnats and mosquitos. However, I have to re-apply it about every one hour. That's a small inconvenience to defeat the flying "biting jaws of steel." Suggestion: buy two and re-order to always keep one in reserve. It is difficult to find Cactus Juice in retail shops.

I'd give this product 6 stars if I could. My son suffers from a terrible allergic reaction to mosquito bites and we've been trying for years to find a non-deet spray to give him a bit of relief. One application of this spray kept the mosquitoes off of him for an entire night, even while the rest of our family was being bitten mercilessly. We learned our lesson - now the whole family will be using Cactus Juice Outdoor Spray. (I bought two more bottles today, just to stock up.) Plus, it doesn't hurt that it smells like a melted Creamsicle. Yum - and yay!

This stuff works amazing! And it smells delicious. I dont like the sprayer on it though.

I bought this for traveling to have a product that was reef safe. I was skeptical it would repel mosquitos in the tropics, but it did an awesome job. It smells like a creamsicle which I loved compared to the traditional bug spray I’ve always used. It was also light weight, non greasy; you don’t feel it on your skin. There seemed to be no residue when I sprayed it on clothes and no discolouring either. I will not go back to the other sprays containing deet again. Great product.

I don’t know who gives this stuff good reviews overall it’s a bad product it jus sun tanning oil in a broken spray bottle You will regret buying this trust me especially when you see the exact same thing at the store for 3 bucks just get the cheap sunscreen for the love of god

Smells delicious, but it does absolutely nothing for mosquitoes.
