Heat Wave 1,000 Watt Convector Baseboard Heater, Black

Perfect heater for a no-frills baseboard. Keeps my 20x20 room nice and warm (my insulation is probably slightly better than average). It takes a couple of hours on low to heat the room by 10 degrees evenly, and is very good at maintaining it at the right temperature. It will heat the room up somewhat faster on high but I keep it on low to maintain the room's warmth. It does start radiating heat upward in under 5 seconds from being switched on, in fact you can feel it immediately.Loving it so far as it makes zero noise whilst doing a wonderful job. I'd say this is perfect as a gift or maybe even a college student with a cold room.I really appreciate it only uses 1 kw/h on high because almost every other heater is 1350-1500 watts which can overload a circuit and of course cost more to run. It has worked wonderful so it earns five stars should it last a while (I've had it 20 days). I will update this review if anything bad is to come of it.Also as is typical with this kind of heater there is a strong burnoff smell. Mine was gone in about 3 hours but I let it run for 6 in the bathroom with the fan on for good measure. Since burnoff it releases zero odor and just provides toasty, silent warmth.

Surprising amount of heat for such a lightweight, compact unit! I purchased this to supplement the heat in an always-cold hallway (20'x3.5') leading from my front door to my kitchen that is bordered on one wall by my garage (and interior garage door) in which space the drop down door for the attic is also located. So when it's cold and windy outside, regardless of how well the walls and ceilings are insulated and that the weather stripping for the doors is perfectly intact, that hall gets particularly chilly and the cold air floods in to the kitchen area and entire back of the house. This unit, at Low (500w) setting, mitigates that cold draft perfectly! I placed it in the hallway nearer to the kitchen area and I do not feel the usual cold draft but a nice, gentle heat! It's lightweight and portable enough that if strategically placed it could act as a "draft baffle" for any cold spot in the house. I'm testing it right now in my 20 x 25 open kitchen area - I have it centered on the floor running on Low (500w) with the thermostat turned up to high and I can feel the radiant heat from the unit at a distance of 7 feet. Love that it's low to the floor so the heat radiates up. It's completely silent (except for the tip over safety switch that "rattles" - which the seller was more than gracious enough to have explained to me since I did not read that line item carefully enough in the product description.) Overall, a great little heater with a remarkable output!

We used this in our semi-secluded bathroom,it gets cold. We put it right beside the toilet and outer wall it's slim enough to fit perfectly. It keeps the toilet warm and the bathroom comfortable. we've had to turn it down several times,to adjust it. We think it's great for us!

Lovely to look at, and very quiet, but only felt heat in a radius of approximately 2 feet. Only disperses heat from the top, not the sides. It might be useful for a very small room, but not the 400 square feet in the description. I had to ship it back at my expense, and there was a restocking fee. They were prompt in reimbursing the remainder of the cost, but not for the postage which was half the cost of the unit. Unless your room is very small, this is not what you need.

This small heater is just what I wanted to warm my small bedroom. The best thing is that it is silent. No fan.I use it on 500 watts but when needed; I kick it up to 1000 watts until the room is warm then turn it back to 500 watts. If you live in a really cold area; you better get a full power 1500 watt unit. ( not this one). It's perfect for me because it never gets colder that 40 degrees here on the California coast. I have been using it for several weeks and it seems well built and so far works great.

Immediate heat! small size with a low profile, light weight and works perfect for under my desk to keep my feet warm during cold weather. There is only one problem: It will tip right over! The feet are not heavy or wide enough to prevent the heater from tipping over at the slightest touch. It shuts off, but still not a good thing. We attached a 2 inch wide by 9 inch strip of steel to the bottom of each foot that extends a couple inches out on each side of the unit to stabilize the unit and it is now perfect for my needs and a whole bunch safer.

I was a bit worried with other reviews, especially since it's smaller than my other one.I was pleasantly surprised after using it for 10 days. It works great! My bedroom is about 160 sq.ft, connected to my bathroom (about 50 sq.ft) and it is able to warm up the whole room. I set it to level 1 (500 Watt), and it takes about 20 - 30 minutes to make the whole room warm, which is very good and as I expected. It makes a rattling sound when I tilt it (sounds like a ball moving/rolling), but it is the safety sensor (automatic off when it trips - I tested it). I emailed the customer service and the seller, they responded promptly and answered my question.Yesterday I accidentally trip and step on it. I was afraid I broke something as my heel was really hurt, but to my surprise, nothing broke!Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.

I'm surfin that heat wave!

I got this product to replace my baseboard heater in the basement. Does the job. Seems to be energy efficient as my hydro bill went down.

Solid little unit that looks nice and does a good job!

The thermostat is a slightly laggy (high hysteresis) but it works great!
