Tenax Marble Polishing Powder - 1kg (2lb. Container)

I used this product today on a customer's marble bathroom floor. She used bleach on it thi King it would be good to clean with and of course, it etched it and discolored the natural white of the marble. I have used many polishing powders in the last 10 years, and will say that this product is the best I have ever used. It worked quickly and removed the etched areas within a couple minutes. I used an orbital random polisher, hogs hair pads and this product. You must make a poultice with this product by putting a small amount of water down on the tile, then adding some of the polishing powder and mix it up into a poultice (a wet paste). Then wet the pad by dipping in buckwt.of water, shake out excess and put it on the polisher. Turn on to almost full speed on top of paste, using medium pressure, polish in small circles until desired results. I recommend this products to DIYers and pros.

Our (now ex) cleaning lady spilled toilet bowl cleaner on our marble bathroom floor. It made it dull and it was very noticeable in certain lights. I used this stuff with "TCP Global? Brand Premium Detail System 3" Mini-Buffing Pad Kit - 4 Pads, Backing Plate, and 1/4" Drill Adaptor", used a sponge head, in a right angle variable speed drill, in about fifteen minutes it looked almost good as new. You could see some slight swirling with your eyes about an inch from the floor, but unless your guests crawl around on your bathroom floor, you'll be the only one to see it. Just wet the floor, scoop some of this on the wet and start polishing. It does shoot around some when you do it this way. The directions said to premix, but I thought this was easier and more effective. If I had it to do again I'd put towels around the area to block it from flying around. Doing it by hand would be VERY hard work. I was fighting a pretty big area. I also had a piece of scrap to test it on, stuff that has been sitting in my garage for the last 10 years. I poured some of the cleaner on it and recreated the situation to see the my results before I destroyed the floor by accident. If you can, I suggest it. For safety's sake.

Product seems to work well. We used this on our onyx tile floor to bring the luster back to the surface. Despite not wearing footwear indoors, the tile eventually starts to fade a bit. The instructions aren't super clear, says to make a "toothpaste" like consistency, well that doesn't really happen with this product. It's more sandy than it is powdery, so it doesn't really conglomerate into a paste. Watched a few YT videos, and kind of just winged it. Wet the felt pad on the sander, and then started buffing. The stuff gets EVERYWHERE using the sander, but I expected a bit of a mess. Kept the sander moving at all times, and spent maybe 20-30 seconds per tile. Again, not really any detailed instructions how to use, so just went with what seemed right. Immediately wiped the floor with a damp rag, to remove residue. Did this for each section of tiles I was working on, eventually completing the whole floor. Then had to vacuum up the remaining mess of loose material, and wipe the entire floor down again with wet and then dry rags. Finished by resealing the tiles. Whole process for our relatively small bathroom was only a few hours. In the end, the luster has been brought back, but many of the scratches are still there, just looks more buffed now. So, perhaps I could have buffed with the sander on each tile for more time, and maybe that would have smoothed out all the scratches, but the shine is back, so I'm relatively happy. Again, I think more detailed instructions should be provided, or instructional videos be posted so people know the best procedure to get maximum results.

After a great deal of research, I picked this Tenax marble polishing powder for my black marble bathroom floor. Working on an expensive marble floor meant I wanted to be cautious at each stage — obviously, picking the best powder was a significant choice. I pay a lot of attention to online product reviews and tutorials (well, the thoughtful ones) and felt Tenax would be an excellent choice. My floor had some “etching” (this is the term tile people use to denote acid spots — maybe caused by bathroom products or splashing near the toilet) — I purchased the whole range of diamond abrasive pads, a stack of felt pads and a 5” polisher. The Tenax powder comes with only brief instructions — I like having instructions, but the online tutorials were plenty good enough as far as technique and, when I ended up with questions, I called Tenax and received some of the most patient and detailed advice I’ve ever gotten. Honestly, the company really showed its greatness and it gave me even more confidence in the product itself. My floor is now finished and I’ll next apply the Tenax sealer (I’m using “Tenax Pro Seal” and it’s a 7-year seal). By the way, it turned out I didn’t need the diamond pads after all — no harm in having them, but they’re really for actual scratches or other difficulties arising from actual abuse of the surface. I could not possibly have done the job nearly so well (nor so quickly) without the 5” polisher — if you’re thinking of doing a floor, kitchen counter or anything else of even moderate dimension, you’d be smart to get a polisher. I bought the Meguiar’s MT-300 right here on Amazon and, as recommended, used it as it’s slowest speed on one up from that. There are many kinds of stone surfaces, but I know the black marble I have is among the most challenging of the group — because of that, I felt the excellent result I’ve gotten would be worth telling other Amazon shoppers about. One more thing — a lot of the online tutorials show enormous floor polishers with enormous polishing pads. You’ll notice they’re being used for hotel lobbies, big city department stores, etc — most of us have residential kitchens and bathrooms and a 5” polisher makes for work that is both quick and detailed. I guess the enormous floor machines can be rented and maybe you feel tempted to do that — for me, it made more sense to have my own polisher, my own pads and the ability to polish spaces a commercial polisher could never approach.

Works OK but should be used with a heavier, professional polisher rather than a grinder/orbital polisher. Made the floors looks nicer but I will need to re-do them with a rental machine from Home Depot.

I bought it based on the review. It is disappointing. Not only it did not polish back the shining looking on my beige colored marble floor, but even made some shining area look fuzzy. Another thing that I do not like is that the liquid spilled on the other area, if not cleaned soon, it lighten the original color and left stain, and no matter how I clean with fresh water, it won't go away! I think this product penetrated into the marble to alter the color, and made the marble look "dry", less luster.

This product is amazing! I appreciate that the powder has no odor. Just to see the affect of the product, I applied it by hand, buffing it in the marble manually. Within a couple of minutes, the etching areas (water glass rings) are all but gone. Also, it is definitely shinier than prior to use. Many of the scratches are also gone. I highly recommend purchase of this product. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

next time i will buy loooots of it. i have 1300 sq ft of Crema marfil polished marble floor.... i normally used other product i bought in specialized stone care shop, in a form paste, it called 'cream' that was nothing creamy about it... anyway, when using it, it left a lot of white residue, that took buckets and buckets of water to wash it off. even a week later i could see it....so this time i was finishing the remains of that product and i got 1 box of Tenax to sample, while i was doing all that mess anyway. here is what o think: - it does not smell like other ppl said, just regular. -does not leave that white ever-lasting -impossibe-to-get rig of residue, washing off very fast and easy. -does fantastic job, leaving almost factory gloss look, mirror-like. I used hog pad with industrial buffer i rented from Home Depot. I used the powder as is, i did not pre-mix into paste. i poured some water on the floor and powder on top, then buffer and off i went. it does take lots of powder to achieve nice mirror finish, as well as patience and time buffing it into the floor.... but there is nothing impossible. you don't need to be a professional, i am an ordinary person. all it takes is TENAX and good buffer. i do not work for tje company or related to seller. and bought tje product like everyone elsw, just found it and decided to give a try!

Works wonderfully to bring back the shine from faded marble and travertine

I had trouble removing soap scum accumulated on the red Alicante marble floor in the shower room. I last engage professional service to polish it in mid 2019. There’s a persistent cloudy look no matter what cleaner I use. Super fine steel wool #0000 works but sometimes leave rust on the white drain cover. Recently I discovered I can use this polishing powder with the 700g electrical brush I bought from Taobao. I just need to use the sponge attachment. It removes the white film on the marble without making it slippery. I also use my Bosch orbital sander with the sponge to polish marble tops. This is a new Bosch model which seems to move faster than my previous one. I get powder flying all over the place due to the faster speed. I have gotten better results with the broken sander that I replaced. For polishing surfaces, the tool matters. I hope to figure out how to do it right with my new sander. I do get a shine after a messy polishing session, but just not the shine that removes etched marks.

We have 2 marble tables over 100 years old - buffing with this product bought back a shine I had never seen - a few comments on it - where protection as it is not nice on the skin- cover stuff up as I did on grass and grass turned brown. It is tough to get the right consistency so be patient and use a good buffing pad - do not have it spinning too fast as stuff will fly around and you may damage what you trying to do

This polishing powder is the real thing, finally I am able to get my marble floor to a real shine. I have try all types, diamond disk, all the way to 6000 grit, ceramic disk, but all left a haze behind. I cannot get the shine back. Finally with this powder it works. Should have know it, mate as of wasting so much time
