Get the right bread knife, your first two loaves will be practice, don’t cut whilst hot.
This is so good, but you need the right knife. I got the Vogue grip Pro GH530. if bread is straight out the oven you need to wait at least 20 minutes until cool enough to cut without collapsing. the thin slices are in the middle of the rack so move bread up and down according to what size slices you want. seen some negative reviews about these types of slicers...ignore them. human error, not design fault. it’s as good as the person using it. Works best with the large to XL loaves with a nice crust. Small ,narrow loaves will need you to help hold them in place, obviously. Poorly baked loaves with insufficient rise and underbaked crusts wont be easy to slice , so improve your baking skills before slating the product.

Not very sturdy – difficult to use
Nice idea but not very sturdy and difficult to hold sides in position while cutting bread. Mine was slightly damaged on arrival but I was able to superglue the loose piece back on. No instructions, so many people may not realise you have to reverse the sides and click them into position in order to be able to cut the bread through the bottom crust. Even then, it's difficult.

Poor quality item
We purchased one item but sent it back because one of the cutting guides was damaged at the top. We purchased a second, identical, item from the same seller and had to return this because one of the cutting guides was again damaged. This time the guide was broken completely and arrived as three separate pieces. We have not gone back to the same seller. The slicer type is obviously not robust and the seller cannot have good quality control standards. The items did arrive on time

Good slicer
We use it pretty much every day as we bake our own bread. I’d say the slicer is good but if you have a tall loaf in it can be a little difficult to aim for the guides. But it all it is a good welcome tool. It is also so easy to clean which is a bonus

Awkward with bread that is smaller especially as you cut nearer the end.
Not holding bread firmly enough.

Even slices
This solves the problem of slicing home-made bread. It looks good and i was attracted by the rustic look of the slicer. It walks really well. The problem is that along with the bread slice if you're not careful you also get a slice of wood if your knife is sharp.

Nice design but...
I love the design of this, it's a clever bit of kit but the bamboo materials used to make it are not durable. I've had a few things strands off bamboo come away during use and had to remove from the bread before consuming.
