A great purchase for you or someone you love
Bought this as a gift for my wife last December. The money was well spent, and I suggest anyone who is looking at bluetooth speakers to consider this one. It can withstand drops, weather, sand, etc with no problems. Connects easily with her phone as well as friends/guests. The volume and sound quality are great and haven't deteriorated over the last year.

Bought this because I wanted something with great sound, great battery life
Bought this because I wanted something with great sound, great battery life, great build quality and something that could take a splash. The Blaster does it all. The sound is great. The bass is decent overall but great for a device of this size. The battery seems to go on and on, it's super tough and water resistant so I use it a lot at the beach and on the boat. Can't go wrong here

Short Life Span speaker
Very disappointed that owning this for just 2 years with mostly indoor use it has completely malfunctioned. It began suddenly cutting off and now will now turn off, will not pair and the reset button does not work.Finding warranty info is almost impossible. My daughter had this one as well and it did not last long either.

Bluetooth is weak
This was a good price at release when compared to the Jambox (original size), but now they're the same price, and the Jambox outperforms the Nixon by a mile. The bluetooth is so weak that you may as well be tethered to it with a wire. Sound quality and volume was also not as good as the Jambox. It's cool if you're a pro snowboarder and you got 3 of them for free, but spend your money elsewhere!

Expectations met...and some.
Very simple to connect and use. The speaker have a nice - solid feel to it. The base could of been a bit better...(like any other wireless speaker) Otherwise the sound is clear and reasonably loud (for the size of the speaker). Like it very much. Also there is more options to it than what eye see - read the user manual.. for example: If you are connected to a cell phone - you are able to manage incoming (answer, cancel, and hang up) phone calls, redial ...

The sound is good, it is very easy to use and I ...
This speaker is just what I hoped for as I teach shag dance lessons at an outdoor venue. The sound is good, it is very easy to use and I love that it shuts down to conserve battery power when not used for a period of time. The Bluetooth capability as well as it using the aux cable for connection to my laptop makes it perfect for my purpose.

Great speaker all around
I replaced my Jawbone Jambox with this speaker after numerous quality issues. This speaker is better than the Jambox in the following categories:- price per volume- durability and weatherability- bluetooth connectivity (no static or skipping)The only areas where the Jawbone products are better is better stereo quality (only available through bluetooth and not audio cord for some reason) and better looking
