I haven't had to use yet thank goodness! I carry this at all times. I am a dog sitter attacked by a dog (not the one I was sitting!). The point is that I walk a lot of dogs in different neighborhoods and this keeps me safe! This one is the best because of the strap. You can hold a leash, type on your phone, use your fingers still. This product definitely saved my pup’s life and maybe more. I have a sweet little basset and a mini aussie rescue. I ordered these to carry with me when hiking or in off leash parks. I only recently, since November, have started carrying one with treats and bad dispenser. A huge Pit attacked my basset. Owner was screaming and pulling on the dog, I was pushing and punching. It was having NO effect. — and my basset was dying…. and then I remembered I had the spray. It worked flawlessly and I was spraying it directly in the dog’s eyes and it still took some time for the effect to hit enough and he came back for a second and third attack but now getting a face full each time finally left for home. Zero doubt my dogs are killed without the spray and that dog was out of its senses. It was a killing machine. As it is, I’ve gotten some time in the ER behind me and Basset is struggling with second surgery but we would not have made it this far without this spray. My concern with the product comes from its use. The stream of pepper spray is very thin and carries little more than a foot. It may well be that the product’s convenient dimensions just mean those are necessary trade offs. I don’t know. That’s more of an observation. My last one is more of a concern. While this worked on an attacking dog, I wonder how effective it would be against a human antagonist. I ended up with back spray on my face, eyes, and lips and it damn well hurt but I wasn’t incapacitated. I also worry an attacker could simply block the spray with a hand and close the distance in a step making the product almost useless. So, I have this product with 1 full canister and one nearly half full still - after considerable use. I will continue to carry this but have purchased a taser to carry for two legged threats.

It works. Had a German shepherd grab my Border by the scruff of his neck the spray worked great and the dog left with sore eyes and nose. Unfortunately, I got a whiff too wow.

I really like the versatility of this product. I purchased it for protection when I walk. Thankfully, I have never had to use it - so I cannot tell the effectiveness of the spray, but I do feel more safe carrying it. The package arrived sooner than expected, and it excellent shape. I did a 'test' to ensure that the spray would come out as described. The hand-strap is very comfortable and allows me to open and close my hands without dropping the spray. My only negative is that it did not quite spray as far as described, but it works great as an up-close personal defense product. I will purchase again when (if) necessary. I am very pleased with this product.
