My husband uses this for his beard. We’ve purchased it several times and have it on subscribe. He likes his beard on the neater side and has trained it to be kind of smooth. I absolutely love the smell of this. I want to eat him up every time he kisses me goodbye in the morning. You can’t smell it from a normal distance and I don’t think the scent is lasting all day or anything but it’s kind of an extra bonus for a really nice beard wax that works well. He can also make his mustache come to a point with this (I don’t know what it’s called but think of Salvador Dali). Not the usual way he wears it but he’s experimented with that and it did work. I do touch his beard a lot and it always feels nice. It doesn’t feel waxy or weird at all and I can still run my fingers through it. It feels smooth and conditioned like a beard should. I commend this company for getting it right! Also, this lasts him a long time. I will say though, he has wiped his hands on our towels a few times without washing them well under water with soap after using this and the wax gets on the towel- so don’t do that unless you change your towels every day. It comes out easily in the wash. PS I love him so much. He’s my soulmate and we’ve been married for 40 years. ❤️

The Belle Isle beard butter arrived today. The product had leaked and was all over the exterior. The seal inside the cover seemed intact so I'm not sure how this happened. The weather here was in the high 40s so it wasn't extremely hot. After opening the product, whatever scent was present was difficult to detect. That is to say, it didn't smell anything like expected. I had read other reviews that said the scent lasted all day. Hard to imagine when it doesn't even smell in the container. I'll update once I try it for a bit. This product is expensive enough per ounce, so the mere fact that a fair amount of the product had leaked out is disappointing. Once again, I'll have to update this review in terms of the actual product once I have the chance to use it. Addendum: I wrote directly to the manufacturer via email and they replied that same evening. They apologized for the experience and offered to replace it without any hesitation. It took 11 days to arrive and was intact thus time. The scent is still very subtle, which is somewhat disappointing. What I can smell is pleasant. The product itself, in terms of how it makes my medium length beard feel, is very good. It melt to a very smooth consistency and is very easy to apply. It makes my beard feel very soft for the couple if weeks I've been using it for now. I think the company did a great job with their customer service, and the weak scent not withstanding, this product delivers on its promise to be a good moisturizer for mens beards. Updating to 4 stars (minus 1 for the scent).

I thought I wrote a scathing review for this product but can't seem to find it. Maybe I decided it was too scathing? Regardless, I'll try to get through this quickly. I purchased the 313 scent based on several glowing reviews, stating this was one of the better scents. I know scents are certainly be subjective, but it seemed that toasted vanilla and amber would be nice. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's incredibly pungent, and has a super strong chemical fabricated smell that sticks in my nostrils. I could barely put up with it before I washed it out, and then it still lingered. However, I liked the consistency and effect it had. Used in smaller amounts I could suffer through it, and after a couple of hours the smell wears off. I continued my search. Finally just for giggles I tried the Belle Isle scent, and what a difference! If not for the actual product, I'd swear it was a different brand entirely. Belle Isle is fresh and subtle, at first I couldn't smell anything taking a sniff out of the jar. Once I started rubbing it in, I was detecting very light and bright citrus with a mild lavender background. Winner winner chicken dinner! So glad I gave it another chance. I was afraid they'd have the same sort of fake chemical stench of the other product. Hey, if you like it that's great. Some people like country music and others... In the end, this is the best butter product I've found. Some are more like cold cream, a little wetter and takes a while to dry. Others are like a balm. This is stiff but starts to melt nicely, and doesn't star to run like some other brands. It stays put, and tames those fly aways! Pros: - Good consistency - Moisturizes and holds - Spreads smoothly - Stays put Cons: - My dog is constantly trying to eat my beard - Some scents may be off putting I'm happy now, this appears to be my go to when out and about. 5 Stars, great product.

A great product, but should be marketed as a beard balm versus wax. It feels great and is easy to work, but is does not have the hold of what a wax should. It helps with overall shape, but is does not hold as firmly as other waxes I have used. Again, this performs more like the beard balms i have used. When in uniform I need a product that will hold my 2-4 inches of beard just right. This product is great for general control and looks and feels great. Had this been sold as a balm it would be an easy 5 stars.

Love the beard wax...not greasy, great hold, love the scent and it last almost all day. I got the wax for the extra hold or taming power for my course beard. My only wish is that the offered the beard wax in 4oz...only the beard butter that they offer in the 4oz container. Will definitely buy again

Feels so smooth you wanna put it all over your body. Smells so nice and natural, very high quality you can easily tell.

Very nice and workable product, melts well in the plan for application. There are very nice smells of tobacco and vanilla but yhw cedar is not spicwy like cedar should be. There is a overwhelming smell of something like honey suckle or some perfume like smell that is very off putting. Sadly I have tried it on my beard once and the smell was so string I cannot use it again. Without the perfume overtone it would smell awesome, sadly it takes over and ruins the quality of the product. I bought based on all the positive reviews, but the smell isn't man-ly at all and my most important critic - the wife said nope nope nope. Sorry guys this one struck out for me.
