Well I am quite disappointed.I have several different grits of this type of sandpaper & have ordered they exact product before, this time it was not in a nice plastic case as before but a very thin plastic clamshell kinda thing...So i guess I'll have to use the last few pieces of my original box & reuse the case from the previous order.

I have bought smaller packs of these and there is a marked difference between them. On these, the backing is stiffer, none of them are marked as Gators on them, only the grit is marked much like the other knock-offs I have tried. The problem with the stiffer backing is they will more quickly fly off of the sander as they lose their ability to stick to the pad. Long before you actually wear the pad out. So, yes, be prepared to replace them more often. And some of them feel more like 60 grit especially after sanding something.Overall, yes, they work, but the aforementioned issues do not make these the value they originally started with.

I have used this brand for some years, works well, holds up to some abuse.

These 40 Gt sanding discs work great. I find myself looking at the disc to see if it's worn out, and being astonished it's still going. Been using them to take off cracked paint on bevel siding, and get it flat before changing grits. These are working great. No clogging with the paint, and the sand stays put. The only area where the sand has come off is along the perimeter which is about 1/8" larger than the backing plate, and consequently bumps into any adjacent surface, becoming curled up a bit and knocking the sand off.

The picture of the package shows that this product is made in the USA- It is not- China made.
