Dorman 911-808 Vapor Canister Purge Valve Compatible with Select Dodge / Hyundai / Kia Models

This part fit perfectly on my 2009 Kia Rio and seemed to correct the P0456 code that I was getting. Access was a little tricky but if you take your time its a pretty easy fix.

It works great and was just what my car needed. The check engine light was coming on and when checked it came back with the error code saying that the vapor canaster was the problem. I got this one and fixed my problem. Been on my car now for months and no more problems. Works great.

My Hyundai Accent started displaying the symptoms of having a rough time starting up after refueling. Then the check engine light came on and when I checked it, it came back as P0496 EVAP System High Purge Flow. A quick google search came back indicating this item needed to be replaced.It was a fairly easy install. My only problems were having driven the car for 130k miles, the screw holding the air intake plastic manifold was a bit seized up. Also the rubber hoses required a bit of rough handling to come loose since they were also stuck to the old canister. Lastly, don't forget to remove the rubber mounting piece from the old canister so you can mount it back onto the bracket. I realized this too late and had to take it off and reinstall about 1/3 of the way through.

Putting this part on the OEM rubber housing was not easy on a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 4.6. As you can see, I had to break the housing to install it. It worked fine at first, but a few weeks after giving issues, it's broken. Lasted just under 90 days. Can't return it now per Amazon policy even though manufacturer claims limited lifetime warranty, on Amazon page.

I had to replace this part due to several issues. The car would not start after fill up, sometimes hard to start and white smoke on start up. The fix was immediate and was easy. One hour from start to finish and test drive.

My check engine light came on in my 08 Hyundai Elantra. OH NO! took it to an auto part store and they had a vague code about emissions. Did a little Google search and found that 95 percent of the time its this little inexpensive part that is pretty easily replaced that is the problem. Took it to the mechanic and what do you think he said? $120 is what he said! So I sent $18 bucks and spent about 45 minutes (mostly to find the right tools) and no more check engine light. FYI it took about a day for the light to go off/reset so at first I thought I had wasted my time and money. But its been a couple of months now and no problems

Way better than going to a parts store or a dealer. Car wouldn’t start always after getting gas. This was the fix.
