Great Watch
This watch looks great and keeps great time (within ~8 seconds / month). Not having to replace the batteries is a big plus, also. The face is very clean, simple, and easy to read. The size of the watch is great on my 6.5 inch wrist. The watch includes little glow-in-the-dark dots on each of the hour markers and more glow-in-the-dark paint on the minute and hour hands. I've found the watch more than sufficiently bright to read once my eyes get used to the dark, even in the middle of the night.I replaced the included band with a black leather band and it looks great. Replacing the band myself was not too hard using pushpins to pop the band pins out. Also, while I had the metal band on I found it pretty easy to adjust its length, again using pushpins. Just look for the little arrows on the band. For reference, the caliber number is V158. That number I guess refers to the guts of the watch and can be used to find instruction manuals, etc.If I had to give any criticisms, they would be that- The watch is slightly more bulky than is ideal (~10mm thick). It's not that bad though.- The calendar is not perpetual (even though Seiko's site says it is) and you will have to correct the date following months with fewer than 31 days. However, you can set the date without having to stop the watch ticking, so that's a plus.- I'm not particularly fond of the band that came with this watch, but it's easy enough to put another band on.For the price listed on Amazon (~$78 as of this review), this watch is a great bargain, especially when compared to the ~$195 price at Macy's, Ben Bridge, etc. Would definitely purchase again.

Excellent watch for the price
I have had this watch for a couple of weeks. This is an excellent watch for the price. I agree with other buyers that it is a nice looking dress watch. I do not care for these very large watches that have all kinds of dials and stop watch buttons on them. If you like large watches, don't buy this one. This watch looks very dressy, yet it has enough of a sporty look to be worn in casual settings. The band has a button-operated clasp, which is excellent. For those who read the review complaining about the visibility of the hands in the dark, all luminous watches fluoresce after being exposed to bright light, and this fluorescence dies off with time. If you need to see your watch at night, then it needs to be exposed to bright light for some time before it will be reviewed in darkness. After several hours in the dark, no watch with luminous hands will still provide enough fluorescence to be useful. This watch performs exactly like every other watch I have owned (and they are many!) with luminous hands. I disagree with the reviewer who claimed this was a problem. As for the reviewer who complained about the watch not running very long, the watch needs to be in bright sunlight for about 9 hours before becoming fully charged (according to the enclosed instructions). This charge is supposed to last for several months, although I have not tested that specification. I suspect the reviewer did not fully charge the watch before noting that it had stopped running. The watch keeps excellent time. I am very pleased with this purchase. It is just what I wanted ... a reliable and nice looking time piece that did not cost an arm and a leg. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Awesome Watch - as good as it gets
Extremely high quality, easy to set and very sharp looking. I went with the white face which provides good contrast to easily tell time. The packaging and box is very nice as well. Previously I had a automatic self winder and experienced the issue where it would sit in a drawer for a few days and lose time. The solar power will stay running for a very long time with no sun. The accuracy is unreal, I am experiencing less than 1 second gain/loss per week.Previous reviewers complained about shortening the wristband - I used a push pin and a small needle nose pliers to remove three links, took me about 5 minutes. The trick was to ensure that the pins (they look like miniature cotter pins) go in the same way they came out. I used the push pin to start the pin out and then used the needle nose pliers to remove the pin. Easy Peasy!Update: My watch is 1.5 years old and still running great! I love still love it and it looks brand new.Update: My watch is now three years old. Still keeping awesome time and still looking brand new.Update: My watch is now almost 9 years old. Still keeping time within 1 second per month. Looks brand new.

A solid, simple, solar-powered analog wrist watch
This is a simple, solar-powered, analog wrist watch. It displays the time (hour, minute, and second hands), day of the week, and day of the month clearly in daylight. I've only owned mine for a couple of months, and it keeps time accurately when it has sufficient natural or indoor lighting. The watch face is attractive and easily readable. It isn't obvious that the face doubles as a solar collector. The hour and minute hands are slightly luminescent, so you can (barely) approximate the time in the dark.Being analog, it is thicker than most all-digital wrist watches. The metal watch band can be adjusted a little bit, but not much. I had to take mine to a jewelry shop to have a link removed from the band. (Or you can buy a tool to do it yourself here on Amazon.)Being analog, it has no idea how many days are in a month ... so you must manually adjust the date change-over on months with fewer than 31 days. This isn't difficult to do. There is no AM/PM indicator, so to set the date/time you must first set the week-day/date to the previous day, then advance the hands until the day/date advance so you know the time is now AM.

Seiko Men's Solar White Dial Watch
Good looking watch. So far, keeps perfect time!Took a little while to adjust the bracelet with the tool I bought from you, but I was successful and my new Seiko fits me perfectly. My only complaint is that I cannot see the time when it is dark. Very dim dots! Are my eyes too old?
