would not fit properly until I shortened the pcvv vent. Vent might have been installed for a tall cover. I fixed it myself rather than return.

The Chevy bowtie emblem was upside down for them to fit which also made all of the holes and cap hole in the wrong place. I bought these thinking they were better quality, returned then and I bought the Spectra Dress up kit way cheaper and they actually fit properly. and came with the Oil Fil Cap.

Proform lists these valve covers as fitting `1987-newer' small block Chevy motors using center bolt valve covers. That is technically correct. These valve covers will fit and bolt on to the heads for '96-99 Vortec motors.HOWEVER, the holes in the valve covers (PCV, breather, oil fill) do NOT line up with the locations of those items on the '96-99 Chevy trucks! These will fit '87-95 TBI trucks, not the later Vortec trucks.Amazon, to their credit, shows that these valve covers do not fit '96-99 Chevy trucks. I assumed, incorrectly, that Amazon didn't know better and that I should trust the manufacturer's website instead. I was wrong. Fortunately I have another vehicle these will work on.The manufacturing quality could be better. The internal welds show through the chrome on the outside. This will probably not be noticeable when they are on the vehicle, but it is pretty obvious when they are new and fresh out of the box.

The housings were drilled incorrectly and fit on the wrong side of engine

Did not fit my stock 1993 Chevy K1500 with 350 tbi.
