So I like the versatility of being able to separate pieces from each other. Problem is that the entire unit, when used as directed, does not charge the Apple Watch. Apparently not enough electricity gets to that end of the unit. I suspect it has something to do with the magnetic "connectors". So while the little green light is lit on the Apple Watch part of the unit, the charge is too small to charge the watch. (Yes, I connected the Apple Watch charging cord correctly). Bummer- going to look elsewhere.

This would be a five star product if it had actually worked out of the box. And for anyone else buying that may not want to hassle with a return and is slightly adventurous, here is how you solve the issue with the watch charger not functioning.1. I plugged everything up. And watch was not charging.2. I plug the watch charger up by itself, bam it starts charging.3. Place it on the magnetic base, no charge.4. So I took it apart. Its very easy to do. It has 4 screws and a small control board at the base.5. I took the bare control board and touched the pins to the bottom on the magnetic base, the watch starts charging.6. SO, the pins on the magnetic base are not making contact when the whole thing is put together.7. Take a look at the picture.8. I chopped up a piece of plastic from a button battery.9. I pushed the board partway back into its resistance fitting and then used tweezers to insert the plastic shim (Circled in the picture). The shim I cut is tiny. You also want to be careful when you push it in because if you position it wrong you could accidentally shove the little led right off the board.10. This will probably obscure the little charge indicator light, but you will have a functioning watch charger.MANKIW, please read this and take to heart that a very minor change to your assembly process will fix this. If you would just use clear plastic for the shim then it would not even obscure the charge light.

Edit: Reached out to the seller. They asked some more questions and went radio silent. I bet they are having the same problem across other products. Avoid.For the $1k of hardware you have riding on this, don't risk it.It comes in 2 pieces. One piece is the phone charger, one piece is the headphone/watch charger. Each piece is supposed to magnetically be able to connect together, and share a single power cable plugged into one side. On mine, you can plug the power line into the phone charger OR into the headphone/watch charger and each individual piece works.The problem is when you try to use it as advertised, magnetically connected together it dies. Power doesn't get from the phone port to the headphone/watch side, and the other way. I pinged support, and while they responded the first time, they stopped responding. Probably when we both figured out this doesn't really work. What concerns me is if it doesn't work as designed, what else isn't working as designed? Is it overcharging or undercharging my gear? Dunno, not worth the risk.

The Good:1. USB Type C - not the Micro USB2. Phone cradle is in a perfect angle - if the unit is in front of you - face unlock works like a charm3. Watch cradle/tower works good as well, but i found it a hit or miss when docked horizontally. For the best position<<check the pic attached>> Oh, the best part - you can detatch the watch tower !4. The USP - Comes with a quick charge 3.0 compatible plug and a type c Cable.The "Could be better"Watch tower sits on a simple two pin connector, could have had a plug or something to keep it in place.The verdict:Buy this. I dont think you will get a better one in Amazon. Most others are not "Truly" wireless, and if so - you ll have to buy the plug
