Good jacket for the price
At the time of this writing, the image associated with the product is inaccurate. It shows a light brown jacket with a black collar lining and neck closure. That design is discontinued. I uploaded a pic of what the jacket really looks like; dark brown and with an unlined, open collar. If you need a closed collar for your situation, you need to be aware of this new design. That little spot right under your Adam's apple, where your neck joins the body, will either have to hide behind your face mask or you'll need to wear something to shield it if you decide to get this jacket. The overall quality of the jacket is actually pretty good. The leather is sturdy without being stiff. The jacket was chrome tanned and is unlined. The sleeves are spacious enough to leave the hands able to turn even with gauntlets on, and the cuffs each have two snap closures. Speaking of which, the snaps on the sleeves and body all open and close pretty easily, but they don't seem flimsy, either. As for the fit, I'm pretty satisfied. I stand 6'3" (191cm) and weigh about 270lbs (122kg), and the hem hits me just below the belt, but not long enough to get in the way of an apron. With my arms out, the cuffs end at the knuckles. With gauntlets on, the cuffs remain out of the way. The body of the jacket fits well and isn't tight across the middle at all. In talking about fit, that's what impressed me the most; they didn't skimp on the leather. So for fifty bucks, I'd say you can't go wrong with this one.

Great looking leather
I really like this product, unfortunately, we have only had two cool days since I purchased this item. This is okay, because I only do hobby welding. I do have large fans. It works great and fits, I am six foot tall, 200 lbs. only the extra large works for me, and glad I ordered it. It looks so good, I told the wife I was taking her dancing in it. It is a good product.

Extremely Hot & Snaps Broke
If you are in warm to hot weather you better have an IV going to stay hydrated if you are wearing this jacket; it is extremely hot! It is so hot I had to buy another jacket. If you are working in cold weather it will provide more protection from the elements. It is also quite heavy and the snaps broke in the first week. The sleeves are not tapered so they don't fit in your gloves easily and there are no slots for ventilation. It dose provide extensive protection against heat, sparks and slag.

Worth the dough.
Sleeves are a little short for a guy that is 6'3 but still long enough for protection with appropriate welding gloves. Great quality.

poor quality workmanship
Snaps came out of the jacket material very unsatisfied with this jacket would think that Hobart would have heavy duty snaps on this welding jacket. Bought this for my son who is a welder by trade and he wore it only a month before all the snaps came out of the jacket and now he can not use it because of the broken snaps!

good protection, but too small
i ordered a a xxl, thinking that it would be just the right size.. however it was really tight.. not comfortable at all.. only if they had a xxxl i would've returned it..

Well made
This is a well made jacket which competes with higher priced items. I would recommend to a friend who doesen't want to break the bank to get good protection. I especially like the high collar for any stray sparks that might hit this area. Good product fast delivery at a good price.

Nice jacket and good value
I bought a 2XL and wear a 2XL in any jacket, fits to size with room for a sweater or fleece. Sleeve length is also good. Snap buttons work fine, they snap and unsnap without any binding. Very satisfied with this jacket, I weld as a hobby and this jacket should last many years for me. 100% satisfied.
