This is a great unit - you can choose to operate the aroma diffuser with the light, or just the diffuser or just the light separately. There is a good spectrum of colored light choices, all mild and non-glaring to no disrupt rest if you use it in your bedroom. The diffuser offers mild humidity plus I like being able to use my own mix of essential oils, such as eucalyptus, camphor, pine or fir mixed with a bit of lavender to soothe any nighttime respiratory issues. I have not experienced any issues with this unit. Note: The manufacturer recommends cleaning the unit with a citric acid and warm water soak. Pure citric acid can be a bit tricky to find, but I understand some stores may carry it in the pickling section, but I would be sure to check there were no other ingredients involved. I found 100% citric acid in a local health food store that offered bulk spices, grains, etc. I just bought a second unit to give as a birthday gift to my niece.

This seems to be the trend with this unit / manufacturer. I had mine for just over a month and the lights all started blinking when I tried to turn it on. Amazon returned it with no questions despite it being over the 30 day limit (thanks Amazon!). Wonder when they will start seeing the number of returned units vs. number of units working and pull this crappy product.

I am saddened to report that this Diffuser will not last more then a month or two. I purchased a unit that I absolutely loved: the amount of mist it releases, the changing colors and quietness were fabulous. The best part was that it could diffuse up to 10 hours! So I purchased another one. Then, alas, both of the motors started to make a burning smell and then would not vibrate enough to produce a mist. Amazon was great : I got a full refund for both after I returned the units. I really wish this diffuser worked, because everyone I'm my family loved it!

I ordered this because during the winter, the house gets so dry it causes our skin and eyes to get dry. I liked the idea that you could put essential oil in there to scent the air as well as add humidity. After I ordered, I asked some questions on Amazon about it's effectiveness. Most people said it was more diffuser, less humidifier, but I hoped for the best. When it arrived, I tried using it for a week. We put it in a bedroom to help while we sleep. While it will put SOME scent into the air, and you can see a mist coming out, it did absolutely NOTHING for humidity. You can adjust the humidity level, but even though it said high or low (you can tell by the tone it makes when you change to each level), it didn't appear to put out any more or less on either setting. The nightlight feature is kind of neat. You can adjust it to just white or different colors, but if you do, you limit the time it will release steam to up to 90 minutes. If you just want the steam, you don't have a night light. Having said that, the light would be too bright for us, but kids might like it. It also does make some noise, and bubbling and if you're a light sleeper that might bother you. The instruction book cover says it's a diffuser, never mentions being a humidifier, however if you read the book, it does say it humidifies. Unfortunately, that's really isn't true. My advice, read the other reviews and if you want a night light that puts of a tiny amount of fragrance, you might want to try this.

My wife got into this whole aroma therapy thing, so she had me do some looking into diffusers. We were looking for a bigger one to use in a large 25'x18' room in our home. This device does the job. The amount of liquid this diffuser holds is great, up to 500ml! Which is a ton compared to all other diffusers I've looked at. The device looks nice, and the colored lights it has aren't bad either. We usually run it with the light off, or on the dim white color. The water level detection for shutoff is nice, it runs it almost dry before it turns off, which is much better than some of the other diffusers we've used. It also cleans very well. Just be careful taking the lid off after you run it. The condensation sticks to the lid and if bump or tilt it you end up with a puddle. I'd suggest putting it on a towel or mat to keep from spilling.We can run this thing for hours on it's High setting and it fills the main area of our home with the fumes of whatever we throw in it.The reason I give this device 4 stars instead of 5 is that because of it's size, I would have expected it to have a higher output setting. It only has LOW and HIGH, more like LOW and MEDIUM I should say. I expected it to blow out a little more material, or at least have a higher fan setting to spread the mist out further. It does a good job, but I think it's a missed opportunity to have made a perfect diffuser. Don't let this detract you from buying this device though. It is still one of the best diffusers we've used.

Have 3 of these diffusers, I love how long they last, the larger than usual water reservoir and the way these diffusers fill even larger rooms with the scent of my essential oils. This diffuser is easy to clean, no real nook and crannies to try to scrub around. Great quality, excellent price, will be buying more!

Bought this diffuser because it had the option to turn the light off or on and to choose a color light if wanted. Everything works great and it has a pretty large tank for the water. If you are sensitive to light when sleeping (I am) this is a good option because of the off switch for the light. If you need it 100% pitch black this may not work for you. The green "on" light indicator causes a subtle green glow to carry through the white plastic. This was subtle enough that it doesn't bother me, but if you need complete darkness this is not the diffuser for you. I like the easy to read buttons and the fact that you can set the timer for various time intervals to automatically shut off. Happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.
