Handsome item at an amazing price
This was by far the most reasonably priced of three insect hotels ordered at the same time. It's exactly like the photograph on the Amazon website, sturdily made, though whether weather-proof? Too early to tell. I'm certainly not going out in today's blustery rain to hang it up -- the solitary bees and other bugs are way too smart to be out and about. The hasp at the back has the option of adding a second screw for extra stability, and I'll probably do that (one of my current 3 insect hotels lost its hasp after a year or so -- it's a possible weak point).Anyway, when I first bought those original 3 insect hotels, I didn't really believe they would be used and thought of them more as decoration. But on warm days right now, they are always surrounded by a host of buzzing beasties -- until all the slots are filled once again with a new generation. Great stuff.

Guests already checking in to the Insect Hotels
I bought two and fixed them hip height, in both South and South West facing directions so they would get the best of the sun. The South Facing one had several interested visitors with some staying to make their homes in the tubes. Very pleased and look great attached to my shed!

Great product but badly packed
Lovely, just like picture, must be very sturdy as it was packaged so badly that it had come through the box, but wasn't damaged. Needed some more packing in the box but other than that really happy.

Perfect! Exactly like the photo!
It was a really good size and was cheaper than I would expect if I had bought in a shop. I've only seen it through bubble wrap as I'm keeping it safe in its packaging for christmas but it looks exactly like the photo and seems pretty sturdy. I'm very happy and work recommend!

Not as well made as I would have liked.
Holes in the wood were far too shallow. But sorted that out with my drill. Also the hanging bracket were set too low to hang it on the wall. But again managed to sort that.

Very nice Bee/Insect House
This bee house is most attractive and very well made. The bees are already using the section with the bamboo pieces. I am surprised it arrived in one piece (only one bamboo had been dislodged) as it was packed in a larger box without internal shock absorbing packaging. However all was well and I am very pleased with the product.

It works!
A nice looking item. It was a little chipped but not enough to make me send it back. It has so far held up to some seriously heavy rain but looks like the roof has faded slightly in the sun. A few days ago a leaf cutter bee made a nest in it (see photo) and another bee has been sheltering in it (can be seen in the photo if you look very carefully). It was up for about 3 weeks before any creatures showed interest but now there are flying insects hovering around it quite frequently. It is better value for money than most other items of this kind that I considered. Update: there are now 9 nests plus another in progress.
