Bad IQ
Bad image quality, very bad colors, hard to control even when mounted on a tripod

This lens is a fun toy if you don't mind messing with it a lot while shooting, and then more work in editing. It's not sharp, it lacks contrast, and it is a PAIN to manually focus with its tiny depth of field. It's especially difficult to focus because it's dark through this lens, and you don't have the contrast to see sharp edges. It requires a lot of work in post-processing to clean up its images. And it has a pretty bad "donut" artifact that you have to learn to live with or edit out of your photos. The attached picture of the moon was taken through this lens, but it took probably 30 exposures to get one in nice, sharp focus, and even then the image needed heavy editing work to get it presentable.

If I had been smarter...
I would have seriously reconsidered this purchase. The idea of 800mm is a dream to have at such a price... especially for as short as it is.I had T-mounts for both Canon and Nikon so I could use on both... and I did. Same results on both. Clarity... fuzzy at best. Most of the pictures were very very dark even in the brightest of sunshine available. Tripod and mono-pod tested as well. I know that Rokinon has a decent product line... this one failed... MISERABLY!!

Great for the price! make sure you have a rock solid tripod. Focus is tight and critical.

exactly what i expected...maybe a little better
For those of you that want a super zoom lens that doesn't costs thousands of dollars and still gives you an 'ok' picture, this lens is great! If you are wanting the quality of a Canon or Nikkor lens, this is not a lens for you. Please do not expect a lens this cheap to perform like a $6000+ lens.It is a fun lens that seems to be built reasonably well and gives you a super long 800mm zoom. You'll get your moneys worth out of it just playing around saying "I wonder how close of a picture i can get of that." You do have to be pretty precise with your focusing and there is no image stabilization so you will want to tripod mount it or you will make yourself sick trying to find what your taking a picture of but if you expose the image correctly (remember, you cant adjust the aperture of this lens. it always stays f8. You control exposure by ISO and Shutter speed only) and you stabilize it well, the image is.... well.... A really close up image thats not terrible. If you know what your getting yourself into, you know the limitations of this lens, and you understand the concept of "getting what you pay for," I think you, like myself, will have no regrets about this purchase.
