HRC 980 Digital Hose Tap Timer with 1 Outlet 4 Programmable Time Settings

I ordered this timer along with a small, backyard drip irrigation system that I put together. I gave it 3 stars because the programmability and functionality are great; however, it immediately started leaking from 3 different locations. I changed out the steel mesh gasket with a hose gasket and that fixed one of them, but it is also leaking from the area you insert the battery (not good). Even if this doesn't cause anything to short circuit, it will waste water over time from the continual leaking. Disappointing to have something brand new have such a major issue.
