The Dawn of Love (Yaoi) (Yaoi Manga)

Enjoyable
Its refreshing to read a BL manga which does not contain the uke archtype: shy, sweet, clumsy, wants sex yet keeps refusing it when they're about to get it, and so on and so forth. Takane knows exactly what he wants and goes after it. The art takes a bit getting used to but the story more than makes up for it. The characters are mature and thank god it takes place in college! I for one am sick of reading about high school dramas. Very entertaining manga.

Not the usual. A Yaoi with a little perversion ?
I enjoy the Dawn of Love and find this love story quite different from the usual.Masahiro and Takane are both law students. It is lust at first sight for Masahiro as he becomes totally smitten by the beautiful Takane. But Takane is a slut, as he has many lovers and only go for open relationships. Imagine Masahiro's delight when Takane finally agrees to give Masahiro a "try". In the beginning it is all sex as Masahiro tries to prove that he is the only guy who could fulfill all Takane's sexual needs. But Masahiro soon wants Takane all to himself as lust turns to love. But does Takane feel the same? As the story progresses I feel a bit uncomfortable. Not because of the sex as I feel this kind of story should be more hardcore. It is Masahiro's sort of encouraging Takane to sleep with his other lovers as a way of saying goodbye which I find a bit weird. Maybe Masahiro has no choice as he is never sure if Takane loves him much less committ to only one lover. This of course leads to near disasters as some past lovers are not that forgiving.I find this love story refreshing. One could feel the lovers' feelings deepening as the story progresses and the last chapter with the final "goodbye" to Takane's most seductive and mature lover is well done. There is a second short story about a young man unwilling to fall in love again. This one is very sweet and I enjoy it too. This mangaka's artwork is fine. I only wish The Dawn of Love is more hardcore as the story line certainly justify it :)

Dawn Of Love
I hated it Dispite the great sex scence's I'm glad his boyfriend won. But Hated the guys attitude thinking he could have two guys and only date one. But what I hated most was that his lover was better in bed tha his boyfriend. I mean it was the first time he went all the way with his lover. I'd have liked it better if he'd found out his boyfriend was better in bed. So that it's no contest. When he'd pick his Bf without it being a tie between them. This book was Awful. I dont recomend it.

Dawn of Love
I really liked this book. Since getting it, I've re-read it about 3 times, and each time I understand the story better and better. In my opinion, it depicts a gay relationship better than most yaoi. The couple don't immediately fall in love before or even immediately after becoming intimate with each other. The book is illustrated beautifully, and some of the facial expressions that Hirokawa captures are exquisite. Dawn of Love is a steamy story about falling in love and the pitfalls of doing so. The translation is well done too.
