Good quality easy install
Easy to install as long as follow the instructions. The instruction is very clear, and there are lots of youtube video you can refer to. The heating line is good quality. The thermostat is ok.The heating floor works, but the warm speed is bit slow. Not much complain about it at this price range. Exceed my expectation.

Great floor warmer
This heating unit was relatively easy to install if you have ever done any electrical work. You can use an electric tester to be sure it works prior to install. The thermostat is basic and doesn't look bad. The floors feel great. I love it and would purchase again. Great quality for the money.

Great Remedy for Cold Bathroom Floors
I hesitated to buy one of these floor heating systems because I was afraid it would stop working in a few years, and installation isn't cheap if you're not doing it yourself. However, our architect told us that the system (not sure which brand) in his home has been going strong for 15 years. Our contractor didn't have any great problems installing it in the floor just outside the walk-in shower, and it's working great. Our floor was 70 degrees this morning, although the shower room has walls on three sides exposed to the exterior of the house, the house is on a slab, and it was 3 degrees F. Be sure to get the alarm.

Glue but down!
Installation was easy. I poured self-leveler over it for a basement bathroom. If that is your plan as well, I would STRONGLY suggest that you buy a hot glue gun and glue down each and every point where the wire turns. I’d also just glue down the mesh everywhere. I only glued down parts that were lifting and I ended up with a lot of coils becoming buoyant and lifting out of the cement before it dried. I had to chip the cement down in certain places to get the coils down.Warmth is ok. It takes a long time to warm up cement. Found it took about 12 hours to get up to a reasonable temperature. Probably not so long if just covered in mortar and tile. We’ll be setting it and leaving it on because of the time it takes.Thickness was fine, in places where the coils didn’t lift it wasn’t an issue.

Simple, but plan ahead!
I'm super happy with the product! Really simple to install, even has double sided tape if you choose to use it to stick it to the floor prior to the tile installation. My recommendations however based on my experience:- Use a bit more mud when applying the tile. We had a few cases where the mat interfered with good adherence. Just go a bit heavier.- plan out the room prior to laying the tile. We started laying out the room as we began tiling, we cam up like 2.5 feet short which was a bit frustrating. So follow the instructions better than I did and lay the entire thing out prior.- plan for your wires going to the thermostat before installation. I already had the tile in and was required to cut into the drywall to hide the thermostat wire and electric cable behind the baseboard.Other than that, I really like it, heats up pretty fast and gets the space nice and warm.

Love everything about Heatizon!
I started out ordering one of these for a whelping room in my kennel and decided that we were going to completely remodel the entire room into 4 whelping suites that had separately controlled heated floors for the puppies so the mamas didn't have to suffer a 85-90 degree space heater for the first two to three weeks of each others new litters. Now the mamas can lay in a cool spot if they wish while nursing while the pups are on 85-90 heated floors without dying from super-heated air in the entire room. When I reordered my next batch of these heaters I unknowingly ordered the next size up not knowing that it would affect anything until a few weeks later when my electrician was helping me test them and told me that they wouldn't work because they would be too big for the area we needed and based on the resistance and amps drawn that I would need to return them and order the original size i had bought. I bought the new ones immediately because we had already started the install.Needless to say we had gotten outside of the return window for Amazon while they had been sitting waiting to be installed. I called Josh at Heatizon. He had me send them directly back to the company and they issued me a FULL REFUND! They did not HAVE to do that because it was sold through Amazon. PERFECT customer service. THIS....THIS is what it is about....people helping people. A+++++ JoshAnyway...sorry so long....only thing i did do was take it off the mesh netting to install in a waterproof uncoupling layer so I could more easily design where my "cool spot" was for the mamas to rest.

Failed in one year
Product worked well while it worked. Professionally installed in full mortar bed, all wiring done by electrician. After one year of use system failed. Tech support said the wires burned themselves due to an air pocket in mortar and I had to rent a machine to detect the break and then bust out the tile and buy a kit to splice the wire then repair the tile, with no guarantee that this process would work. Basically it will be cheaper to install a new system (different brand) on top of the old and re-tile. VERY dissappointed!!!

Easy install for any DIYer
We just finished tiling the bathroom. We had 2ft/1ft tiles so we had to build up our mortar high, but it wasn't too big a deal. The electrical work is trivial. The people complaining here probably just don't do electrical work often. No different than wiring an outlet. The GFCI input is just normal 120VAC or 240VAC, and the output to the heating element is unpolarized, so it doesn't even matter how its hooked up. Same with the sensor, you just slap it where it tells you to in the instructions. The directions are crystal clear for anyone that knows what they're doing, they do not use a crazy amount of jargon, and amazing pictures, along with how to test it with an ohm meter. It's 12W / sqft, so the unit i bought will use 3 amps. They recommend a dedicated circuit, which isn't hard to install itself either. I just bumped my outlet up to a 20amp circuit and hooked it into that preexisting one.I'll probably get the same system again when i finish my in law suite. This was an excellent addition for my upstairs bathroom remodel.

Warm bathroom floor/
Bathroom floor. Placed under self leveling concrete slab on plywood. Easy to install. Works great.Make sure it is well secured to the substrate because the mat and wires tend to float in the concrete.

Line broke after installation
No continuity after installation. This was the second unit I’ve installed. No problems with the first unit. Customer service wasn’t helpful at all on this second unit. No ability to trace wire and find the break.I’m not going to break up the entire tile floor to replace. Looks like I’ve wasted my money on this one.
