Oster Universal Comb Attachment Blade Guard, Size # 10 Professional Animal Clippers

I bought this as a gift for my barber. It fit her clippers and worked as expected.

This is a pretty good clipper guard. I really like how the metal clip is spring loaded so it can fit many different clipper blades. The plastic is also very hard, not flimsy like most guards out there. The only drawback is that the spring can be too weak at first causing the guard to detach from the blade. However, once the clipper blades form a slight groove in the plastic, that should solve that problem. All things considered, I am very satisfied with this product, and I have not seen a better replacement attachment after ordering several.

This is actually much higher quality than I anticipated. It's better than the default attachments for my Wahl trimmer. A+

To save some money my husband is trimming our dogs and this attachment has helped him really get out dogs looking great. So very pleased with the product.

Look at the product description instead of the photo shown. Product description is a #10 Oster universal blade guard, but the picture shown for this purchase is a #2, 1/4" blade guard and I purchased the item based on the photo and not the blade guard number. It is not worth returning and may become a door stop for my storage shed. Just be aware that the item shown is not the item you will receive, thus, the 3 stars.

Not universal fit as advertised. Did not fit my Remington clipper.

I have the Oster Golden A5 clippers which we use successfully on our Old English Sheepdogs, although they can end up a bit 'tufty' as we never get an even cut. So I purchased this attachment hoping to give a more even trim but all they do is skim over the long coat and prevent the clippers from taking off all but the merest wisp of hair, which is not what I expected. From the write up I expected to be able to trim the dog's hair down to about 1.5" but this is not the case, so I have just wasted £7+ on an item which is going in the bin, at least it can be recycled and won't have been a total loss.The Golden A5 clippers are designed for trimming dogs so I assumed the attachment could be used on dogs also, but it seems to not be the case.VERY, VERY disappointed.

It fits my Oster A5 and does the job -- it's a nice length while my poodle makes the transition from a full winter coat to a springtime cut.
