Was a big disappointment
This is the daughter of the user who owns this account and these headphones did not deliver. I bought them for myself because they advertized as being specifically for bass (and they happened to be colored red) but the bass wasn't anything to write home about. You'd think this alone would be the feature that disappointed me, since that was why I bought them in the first place, but you would be so sorely mistaken - the meh bass is the least of my problems with this product. The next thing that makes this product upsetting is the volume control. Truthfully, I think I misplaced the instructions but from memory, the booklet said to hold down the + and - buttons to rewind and fast forward and pressing each button once would turn the volume up and down. But I found that holding down the buttons and pressing them makes no difference; there is no way to control the volume - at least, not from what I can tell, anyway. Most headphones have the classic controls as I mentioned before; it's standard. But for some reason, with this product, the buttons don't function like this and I can't figure it out. The next thing that ties into this issue is the button placement. At first, I shrugged it off because I didn't anticipate any problems with volume control. I didn't care for the placement because I was used to buttons being on the right ear but I thought I'd get used to it. However, something that irks me is that you cannot feel the volume buttons at ALL. There's two small line-like indentations that are most likely meant to help the user find + and - respectively but I had to really search for them - not that it mattered since they don't work, anyway. The last issue is far more irritating than what I've mentioned before because it's actually quite dangerous - yes, you heard me correctly, DANGEROUS. This issue far outweighs lack of bass and lack of volume control; it is the sole reason I opted to buy a different pair. When I connect the headphones to my PC, the volume jumps ALL the way to 81, scaring the absolute hell out of me. I have PTSD and as a music lover, I don't want something that I enjoy to add to further stress to my life; I shouldn't have to race to turn down my volume to 44 in fear, that's not a very pleasant experience if you ask me. Sometimes the Bluetooth connection blips out (all my headphones seem to do this so I can't fault the product for that) and I have to use a cord to use the headphones; when I do this, the volume level doesn't jump to a dangerous volume when I turn it on. Fortunately, this scary issue did not pertain to my phone when I used them, only my PC. I've recently bought a new PC and volume jump carried over to it - and for such a expensive PC, this was concerning. Using the brand new headphones that I just received today (and my older spare ones) with my PC now, I can tell you it is NOT the fault of my PC itself, but the fault of the headphones.Against my own better judgment, I wanted to just toss the headphones but instead gave them to my mom so they would not go to waste (she needed headphones so it only made sense). She doesn't have a PC right now so a couple of these issues shouldn't bother her. However, if the volume issue affects her whenever she does get a laptop, consider the product trashed and (if I can do re-rate) rated zero stars. I don't know if there will be future reviews that had issues with the volume but I'm not entirely sure it's worth the $29 to find out (unless you can get a refund). If any customers are aching for these headphones still, all I can say is buy with caution.
