It's okay, but I like the old formula better.
Apparently, GardenTech has changed their formula. Sevin used to have Carbaryl as the active ingredient but now, its Zeta-Cypermethrin. Carbaryl worked very well on Japanese beetles. I have used the newer Sevin for the last couple of years, and it seems to work okay. However, I had one year where it did not totally eradicate the Japanese beetles. It did reduced the size of the infestation, but my plants were still heavily eaten.

16oz is the perfect size for me, but photo is wrong
Note that the photo in the item listing is incorrect. I checked Sevin's website before ordering and saw that they don't make the item in the photo anymore, so I checked the item number and it matches the newer product, which is what I received (see photo).I've been using Sevin for around 30 years on vegetables and a few other plants. I'm in the Phoenix area and I use it only twice per year. In late May and late August, I spray my grape vines to protect them from Swallowtail caterpillars that would devour the leaves in June and September. In April and May, I spray my peppers and tomatoes to protect them from Tomato Hornworm caterpillars. In early September, I spray my Lantanas and Tomatoes to reduce white flies.I don't use enough product to use it up before it goes bad. It has a shelf life of about 10 years if you keep it inside (i.e. not in my shed or garage that get super hot in the summers). I've never been able to find a 16oz bottle before, so I buy a 32oz bottle and end up throwing half of it away. This size is perfect for me.Unfortunately, the price is a little high given that you can purchase a 32oz bottle (100% more product) for only $2 (15%) more, but, I'd rather not waste the excess.

Took care of the bugs
I bought this because I had a lot of bugs eating my apple trees. I mixed it with water and applied with a Stihl mist blower. Wow- no more trouble with bugs and my apples look better than they have in years. Also used it around the foundation of our house with excellent results. Could t be happier. Would recommend.

Stuck Cap
I have always used Sevin to control insects. I was unable to remove the cap from this bottle. It was stuck so bad that channel lock pliers would not budge it. Worthless, if you can't open the container.

Works.
Does good on most plants. Gives a quality knockdown with no residual.
