Learners/researchers of all types working with books and/or computers -- do yourself a favor. You may not even realize how much you need one of these -- it will make life so much more pleasant! I originally bought it because trying to read a textbook on a flat surface, i am often confronted by glare off the pages from lights. But putting your books or even your laptop on a stand is also better for your back/posture, creates more workspace on your table, and makes study reading even more pleasurable. As for this particular one -- get the biggest size. You will always make use of the extra real estate, trust me. The decorative design is sweet. The stand on the back is sturdy enough even for big textbooks, as ditto regarding the hinged, folding shelf the book will sit on. I can take notes in my books on the stand without problem. It is sturdy. The shelf is also wide enough to hold big books comfortably, even without using the page holds. This is a simple design yet accomplishes all you need a bookstand to do, in my opinion. You will thank yourself for getting one.

My husband and I are working on music for our new duo, Strange Bedfellows, and love the way this works as a music stand without hogging the space a real music stand takes up. It sits on the coffee table, holding our notebook of songs, tilted for good visibility. This is much better than staring down at flat lyrics while trying to sing and play guitars. I've also found it useful when I'm trying to refer to hard copy material as I type on my computer. The piece is affordable, totally functional, sturdy, and nice looking enough that I can leave it out between uses. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This book stand works great, hold the book just right. When it is not in use it looks great on the countertop. The price is just right and it is a needed piece for any kitchen

This is absolutely perfect except for one thing - the arms for holding down the pages tend to scratch glossy finishes. As a perfectionist - and someone borrowing a few expensive books from a fellow perfectionist - this was awful to discover! I wish they came with little pads or something on the tips, but I'll just order some myself. Not a big deal other than the two pages I accidentally scratched. I'm still giving five stars because I doubt anyone other than me will care too much, and I don't need the arms that often anyway. Otherwise, I LOVE this item. It's the perfect size for holding up my Mead notebooks so I can type up what I've handwritten. And while I didn't consider this when I ordered it, it's also great for propping up larger books that I want to take notes from. The cut-outs are cute, I like them a lot better than just a plain slab of wood. I'm sure it's a decent bit lighter that way as well. Last but not least, I LOVE how it folds up! Because it's so big, I don't want it out on my desk all the time. But it collapses nicely and I put it in a drawer within easy reach. I've been eyeing this and similar bookstands for a while now but never purchased one because I considered them unnecessary. What a fool I was! I've had this for a week and it's only a mild exaggeration to say it's life-changing. No more craning my neck or endlessly arranging my notebook to stay propped up against the monitor without falling over. I actually just ordered another one for my friend because she loves it, too! Invaluable if you handwrite a lot before typing or take a lot of notes from large books.

This item looks just like the picture and seems like it will do its job well. A note for crafters: I painted this using fluid art techniques. Even though I used primer first, the moisture in the paint warped the back board slightly. I was still able to screw the hardware back on and the piece should still function as intended, but if you are a perfectionist or want to sell personalized ones professionally, you will want to seal it better than I did by only putting primer on the front and edges.

It makes me so happy when I purchase something and it turns out to be better than what I thought. I’m using this to hold my recipe books when I’m cooking. I got so tired of having to keep my cookbooks away from the area where I’m cooking and going back-and-forth reading it and cooking. This greatly solves all my problems. It holds your books in place no matter the size of the cookbook! Those little metal arms hold the pages open so perfectly . The workmanship is beautiful and everything works really well. There’s different slots in the back for the different angles you want your cookbook (book) to be standing, and it’s very sturdy. Very easy adjustment .No worries about your book slipping, or any neck pain from having to look down while you read. It’s so easy to use and such a wonderful tool for the kitchen. So easy for me to read my recipes as I’m cooking and I don’t have to worry about my book getting dirty or being on the counter. I do make a mess when I cook, now there’s no worry about my cookbook.

I bought this to hold my teachers edition textbook on my desk. It’s exactly what I was looking for, and it looks cute too.

ちよっとお洒落なデザインを探していました。あまり事務的なデザインだと、仕事のモチベーションが上がらないと思いましたので、こちらのデザインはシンプルな中にセンスを感じました。素材も竹なので、木に比べて軽くて丈夫です。大切に使っていきたいと思います。

This product was well made. I am very pleased with its durability, function & look. There was nothing to assemble. Just unbox & use. It makes a nice stand for my cookbooks and\or iPad when I cook & it also makes a nice easel when I do art, like watercolors. I often leave my iPad in the stand when using it to view a video etc. The stand adjusts to 5 different positions besides flat and it is very easy to adjust. Honestly very pleased with this product. Would purchase again for someone as a gift too. God bless & stay safe.
