Barkeepers Friend is the best product for cleaning stainless steel and copper pots and pans. This business deserves AAA rating plus the 5 Stars. They are remarkably a customer service company. Recently I ordered BAR KEEPERS FRIEND from them through Amazon. The carrier failed to provide proper delivery service and indicated that I received the product while Amazon was still updating failure to deliver and finally indicating that fact. Very good at cleaning stainless steel pans that have been burned. Be careful not to leave on too long or it will cause stains. Good at removing rust too. Great price. Very effective.

I almost didn’t buy this because of a review that mentioned they’d seen a YouTube video where the person used BarKeeper’s Friend to remove scratches, but the product didn’t do the same for them. I’m pretty sure that’s the same video I saw. However, I decided to give it a try anyway, and oh my! It was the first time I ever wished that I’d taken ‘Before’ pix because wow. My expectations had been lowered due to the other review I read and I thought perhaps Barkeeper’s would just slightly improve my tub. Instead I started seeing changes immediately, and thus I reapplied and reapplied and kept scrubbing until the stains (impressions from a bathtub floor mat that were here when I moved into my apt. 20yrs ago and hadn’t lightened a bit in all that time) vanished. This also removed some new scratches I had caused by washing something in the tub that had a metal hook on the bottom. All in all, I probably spent about 45mins scrubbing, rinsing and repeating, and then trying to rinse off any residue since I wanted to make sure that none of this strong product would be leftover in the tub when I took a bath. The product seemed to sort of do a micro-sanding and at first the area where I’d scrubbed had lost its glossy shine. However, that really was perhaps just residue. I ran enough water to cover the bottom of the tub, then poured in hair conditioner and just ran my hands over the tub, feeling sort of a sandy grit and wiping it away with my hands. By the end, the polish looked fine, and I was truly astonished and thrilled at how beautiful my tub looked. It totally looks like new now. I tried it on the marks in the tub at my boyfriend’s place and it didn’t have the same effect though. The marks in his tub appear to be a sort of rust stain or tiny cracks. Also, bit of advise - wear gloves when using. I didn’t and the skin on my hands peeled to the point where it was like dandruff falling when I’d move my hands, but that only lasted for 2 days, then my hands were back to normal. (So, personally it was just more of an annoyance and something to keep in mind when using in the future. I like feeling what I’m working on so I won’t use gloves in the future even knowing the effects. Besides, super smooth hands after all the shedding :)

I never even heard of this product until I read about it in reviews for a stainless steel pan set. They say it takes the spots & stains off of the pans. So I bought it for that use. After I bought this, I saw on the container that is works for other things like ceramic. I decided to try it on my white kitchen sink. It had stains from the pots & pans making silver marks everywhere, especially on the sides. The bottom has big spots where the ceramic has actually worn off. I mean, its time to get another new sink. Usually I'd use a comet type cleanser & it would make it look a little better. But lately it hasn't helped much at all. I got out the Bar Keepers friend & gave it a try. I was amazed at how good of a job it did! The stuff isn't grainy like comet cleanser, its more like the consistency of flour. I did have to use some elbow grease but the results are amazing! I can live with this sink a while longer. I didn't get great pictures, but I think that I will post a couple of them. On the 1st one, I had finished the right sink, on the 2nd one they both are done. My lighting is bad, so they look a little oranger than it really is, but you get the idea. Love this stuff!

So this removed the metal marks on a porcelain butler sink that all other efforts/products had failed to do. So pleased but one thing I would say is there are no lids to the containers and once the sticky label is off the powder is open to the damp/elements. I use a surgical glove over the top! We nurses are the mothers of invention when it comes to improvising :) and it looks funny too! Just be careful as there's Oxalic and Citrus acid in it....natural products in themselves but are irritants and corrosive to the eyes. Wear gloves and protect your eyes and be careful what you put it on {it states on the package what it can be used on,} and definitely keep away from children. If there's one thing I'd ask the company to do is put the stuff in childproof containers. Otherwise all this aside it's a great cleaner and its' even tackled the lime scale on my taps that alone deserves 5 stars!

This stuff is the best. I don’t know if they have something similar in Japan. I use it for everything and it just works. I feel like it can basically replace all of your cleaning products.
