50w brightness claim is an utterly false
Bought this claimed 50 watt bulb (show on left of photo) to replace my 25 watt bulbs (shown right of photo) and it isn't even as bright at the 25w bulb (although close). It is so frustrating navigating the sea of false claims on rehashed products on Amazon and I am compelled to give a 1 star review. What a waste of time this purchase turned into.

Too yellow-2500k is not an accurate kelvin spec
These 4.5w amber coated bulbs are big, beautiful and same brightness as a 40w incandescent, but they are far more warm. These are more like 2000 kelvin- extremely yellow like a bug light.Edison bulb manufacturers need to give more accurate kelvin specs on amber coated bulbs. Seems they just state the spec of the filament and don't take into account the affect of the amber coating.I love amber coating but can't find any with higher actual kevins than 2200k, which is unfortunate because the coating is very pretty for a bulb that is typically exposed in a fixture. But I need more accurate lighting for a bathroom i.e. 3000k. All they need to do is use a 5000-6000k filament in an amber coated bulb to achieve 3000k in an amber bulb. Hope some company does this someday.

Very white light, without harshness
I had bought some other Edison bulbs that did not have the spiral. While they put out a lot of light, they were very harsh if you looked towards them (hard not to do in a low chandelier). These with the spiral do not have the harshness of the other bulbs, but seem to still put out a great deal of light. Something to consider if you are installing them in eye-level fixtures or chandeliers.

Color temperature was accurate, brightness was as expected for 450lm
So far so good with these bulbs. Color temperature seems accurate (4000k) and they work great in the kitchen and bathroom. Brightness is on par with the lumen rating, but these are more like 40w equivalent, not 50w as indicated. Not sure why it's necessary to exaggerate. The spiral pattern is interesting to look at.I'll be curious to see if these hold up better than the other Edison-style LED bulbs (straight filament style) I bought a few years ago. About half of them ended up failing within 2 years. Hopefully these are more durable. I'll update my review accordingly if they do fail early.

Don’t add more than four of these to a light fixture
Don’t add more than four of these to a light fixture these bulbs worked perfectly until I added the fifth one. When I dimmed the lights to 50% they worked perfectly until I added the fifth lightbulb to the fixture at that point they started to randomly strobe. The light fixture has six sockets and upon adding the sixth bulb to the light fixture the strobing became more rapid. I then removed the two bulbs and went back to four and they work perfectly but any more than that and the strobing comes back as soon as you dim the light fixture.

They are long
They are the perfect color and wattage. I have this bulb in my bathrooms and in my island pendants, it gives iff the most amazing vintage, soft light that is still very bright. They are dimmable too, which, is fabulous when you doing need a ton of light. A bit tall, so if you have an enclosed light Fixture, make sure it's big enough to accommodate the bulb.

Slightly Green Hue
I've tried several different brands that are only sold through Amazon. They all suffer the same issue of having a 2200 - 2600K rating, but exhibit the same green hue that blubs in the 4400 - 4500K color range have. They simply aren't the same color as incandescent or those similar LEDs bought from big box hardware stores. If color is important, buy the amber coated or just don't buy them if color is super important. This brand though is better than the rest and the value is there.

Cool looking and low energy
Beautiful bulbs and perfect for a well lit hallway or closet. The spiral design is really cool and they look great. Unfortunately one of our 6 came slightly broken, but still lights up well. Definitely would buy more and probably will have once we have more fixtures appropriate for this type of bulb.

Good value!
Quality lights that cast a cool glow in the kitchen. Much better pricing for them than some of my local big box stores.
