The Gold Standard of Ice Makers
I bought this ice maker as a replacement for the Uline ice maker that came with my house. My house was built in 1995 and so after 25 years of service it finally died. I had the old one fixed once and decided it was time for a total replacement. The people who work at the local appliance service company all know and LOVE this model and stock replacement parts for it. It makes a full bin of ice every night and no it does not come with a hose I just hooked up my old one.

Quality Ice maker
This is a replacement for the one that I bought in 1988. That one lasted 31 years. Design is the same today .Unlike other ice makers this unit is a mini freezer so ice inside stays cold and is frozen. Other units drop ice into a cold bucket but if it isn't used right away it's "wet". High quality unit. Gives me over 25# a day. I bag extra ice in put it in my large freezer so i have it for my coolers and parties.

Excellent Buy!
I replaced an older machine that we had for 20+ years. The machine finally gave out - it owed us nothing. Lot's of use in our school. So I purchased another U-Line Ice maker and so far, so good. This machine cranks out ice very quickly and keeps it frozen.

Came in Damaged
Had a feeling it had been repackaged when I saw the b ox. It is a Christmas gift but I decided to open to inspect and found significant damage to the upper corner. Was picked up the next day and am anxiously awaiting a status update on a replacement

Great for limited space and no drain line needed.
I bought this icemaker as a replacement for a uline unit that I bought 11 years prior. The reason the old one failed was because of the high mineral content of the water here. I bought an in-line water filter and installed it with the new ice-maker. So far the ice-maker is running great. The ice is better too. The first one cost me $899.00, the second one cost $1,285.00. The ice maker is in my condo bar. We do not live her full time. When we shut the place up, the ice maker is shut off and the ice dumped. We leave the door open to keep the inside dry. When we return, months later, we wipe down the interior and turn it back on. It starts making ice right away. It is perfect where space is limited and you can't install a drain line.

problem solved
We were tired of running out of ice, this more than solved the problem. It makes the same type of ice that my fridge does, only a lot faster. Crescent shape cube. I keep mine out in the garage, it's pretty hot here in the summer and it still makes over 20lbs of ice a day. Makes great iced tea and iced coffee. We spend a lot of time outside at games, bbq's, the pool. So its main job for us is filling coolers to keep the cans cold. The neighbors run out of ice sometimes and it covers them too. Great little machine.
