I really liked that this planter had an easy to read water level indicator included and lives up to its description. I love the sandstone finish that I can actually feel as well as easy assembly. I would say assembly instructions are not needed (and they were not), except for one problem.Perhaps I am the only one reading the water level indicator incorrectly, but I was looking for water to fill the tube instead of looking at the red rod that moves up or down according to the amount of water available. So my plants were floating even after the soil absorbed water overnight. After testing the indicator in a glass of water, I discovered MY mistake and corrected my error by dumping out some of the water.All this to say: I don't think detailed instructions are necessary; however, a picture of how to read the water indicator would be helpful. Also, an earlier post said they were able to fit five plants in their planter and I don't dispute that experience. I think plant size is a consideration though as I was only able to fit three 4" herbs in mine while trying to squeeze additional soil into the gaps.

I ordered one to see how I liked it. I loved it so much I ordered a second. I typically have bad luck with plants, with the water indicator included, these planters make it so easy to keep my plants happy!

We did not keep it the size was not what I needed. It was nice looking.

Gnat heaven.By filling the bottom tank with some water till it reached a little above the minimum line, the amount of gnats was insane.My pour herbs got infested with gnats and aphids indoors even while using insecticidal soap. I ended up having to throw all my plants out.Definitely looked cute though, may try again in the future and use some actual pesticides when I muster up the courage to try again!

I love using fresh herbs to cook. When winter came along I decided to try these. I planted cilantro, basil and flat parsley by seed and then transplanted a French tarragon plant from my outdoor patio container into one of these. My plants are doing very well in my south facing kitchen windowsill. They do need frequent watering (likely due to lots of sun) and the gauge that is with the planter us helpful. I would highly recommend these.

Very nice planter, comes in 3 parts, inner planter, outer water reservoir and water gauge. Very lightweight, nice color. I planted some herbs and peppers in it and it's resting on our side table in the sun, 😊 I am excited to see if I can keep my herbs alive, as I am somewhat forgetful when it comes to my plants.I had some very dried out potting soil, but once I filled the water reservoir it slowly moistened the soil overnight. I refilled the water today.So far, so good, will definitely update once they start growing.

I really needed a pot with these dimensions. The self watering system can be removed which I really liked. Very impressed with the sturdiness. Well made. Very pleased with my purchase.

Exactly as expected and I like the finish.
