It’s the best single piece of steel that be ever owned!
The simplicity combined with modern features makes it really great. The price too, obviously. Not really a true sword—too short, stainless steel (rather than high carbon steel), not sure if it’s heat treated, no hamon. Also, a rubber grip rather than that oversized shoelace would be much better. Functionaity is great!! It is sharp, but not razor sharp. Durability seems reasonable (for stainless steel, and probably not heat-treated).

Great Deal - Pros and Cons
Excellent deal.Well, first off, let me state that I'm really happy with this sword. It's grip is comfortable, though I'd recommend tying and/or clipping the wrist strap at the end as it seems to untie itself rather quickly and just gets longer and longer. I personally chose to tie around the handle, but it's up to you. I was expecting a sword this length, but I recommend that you think of this as a short sword, and see the length on a ruler or the like. So now, after my babbling, here's the "Pros and Cons"Pros: 6- Full Tang, just as said.- Very cool design.- Nice weight, but the COM (Center of Mass) is above the ricasso, not right by the handle. Of course, this can make sense for those users wishing to gain extra torque in their hacks and slices.- Extraordinarily sharp tip. Very good for stabbing, though I have not performed any backyard slicing tests.- Ok, this is one good thing about the sheath: Velcro clasp for the handle. This is perfect for those not used to back-slung mounting of a sword. It's easy to undo yet keeps the sword in place.- Comfortable handle. It may not be the MOST stylish handle, but it's nice and comfortable. Of course, test for the stability of the cord before going wild swinging it around...Cons: 2- Sheath is floppy. This makes re-sheathing on the back quite the circus act unless using both hands. Of course, you can try affixing a black spray-paint plank of wood (Very thin) if needed.- If not put in correctly, the sword catches on the sheath and has potential to stab straight through. So, as you can see, the cons simply have to do with the sheath. And further, the pros far outweigh the cons. I'm really happy with my purchase, and would certainly recommend this to someone looking to spice up their sword collection for a good price.Good luck with your quest for a greater blade!

Nice... Very nice
Ok, I know people are rating this like it is a 1200.00 sword. Whatever. Don't get me all wrong, that's a lot of work and I think it is awesome as a buyer that people do that. All I am saying here is keep in mind that this is not a hand made sword from 14th and 15th century. It is a solid piece of metal - yes not folded 100 times to make it unbreakable. The handle is tied off with para cord. It is sharp but wont cut a human hair dropped on it. The visual effect is this - it will cause someone to pause and consider their situation. It will drop an unarmed person in a new york minute. It will make you feel better checking the house at night and not shoot your own kid with a hand gun cause you dont know crap about hand guns and they scare you and you shoot them. That being said you will feel like an ass bringing this large knife to a gun fight if that is what the case is or becomes. Regardless of all that, I just like it and wanted it for my collection and because I am not mega rich I could afford this. Thanks and have a great one.

It's Okay... but Could Be Better!
I was pleased with this "Ninja" sword, but I must say that I wasn't thrilled. The overall design is very cool and I think it can serve practical purposes in self defense if you know how to use it properly. But...but, I must also say there are some things that I would like to be different. First off, the blade is not near sharp enough, I've never understood why people would sell a knife or a sword or some other blade weapon and it not be razor sharp. I mean I don't have to shave with the thing, but come on, I run this blade over my skin and nothing, not even a nick! So it's basically somebody taking my money and saying, HEY!, you sharpen it, we're too lazy. Also I have to say that I wish the blade was a little bit longer. It basically is the length of standard machete, which isn't a deal-breaker but I i thought it was going to be longer. The sheath is really basic, but i was pleased that the inside of the sheath was lined with a plastic, so the blade won't stab through it.So, I would recommend this item, but just make sure you know you won't be getting a sword that is sharp! And leaving on a good note about the blade, I can say that in using the sword in stabbing motion, it definitely would perform well. With it not being sharp, I was very happy that the tip was very slender and the point has a needle quality to it. It's not so small that it's brittle and will break, but it's small enough that It very well may pierce a light layer of clothing and will definitely pierce skin. Of course as a disclaimer I have to say that I do not condone nor suggest anyone using this sword as a weapon or tool used in harming another person. I mean besides an esthetic pleaser, it is a weapon that could have practical uses, but really don't slice yourself, another person or an animal with this.P.S. As a student of Ninpo Ninjutsu, I have to say that tacking on the word "ninja" to this sword is probably only best for marketing purposes. I mean as far as most Japanese "ninja" weapons go, I wouldn't really include this in that arsenal. But that is also kind of incorrect, because basically a practicioner of Ninjutsu, anything is a weapon. A pen, a straw, a rolled up newspaper or magazine. With Ninpo you never learn differently for different weapons, you just take the budo that you already know and just add a weapon to that. Which is how all martial arts should be taught, in my opinion.
