As a registered nurse I bought this for my sister who has been suffering terribly from RA. She cried when she read it and said this book saved her life. She showed this book to her pharmacist who’ve since bought this book for his pharmacy. The book is full of great ideas and a great emotional support. It helps you understand what’s happening to your body and helps you explain to others what’s going on. It’s helped in her decision making on how to proceed with treatment. She finally feels educated and empowered

I have read and re-read this book from cover to cover several times. It provides refresher information for the RA disease process along the illness continuum. It's a great 'bible' for the disease process and written so a lay-person can understand. Very well written.

Fantastic, fact based book. Although it was written a decade ago, it is still highly relevant in it's information, guidance and approach. Some of the medications discussed in it have advanced (Biologics), but the majority are still in use as per explained in the book. As a relatively young RA affected person, I am very happy with my investment in this book. I have referred to it numerous times since I purchased and read it.

I was hopeful for new information, but I was given thing I already know.
