Q: what about the canon sx620, a good fit?

I got the Santiago 30 II, not the 10 II Its horizontal not vertical when you stand it up. I have a Canon SX610HS, not a sx620 and mine fits very well in the Santiago 30 II

Q: Will the go pro session with the standard mount fit?

Look at the measurements of the case and then of the go pro.I put two cameras in the case.best wishes.

Q: Does this case have room for the camera strap too? It looks like a tight fit just with the camera.

My small canon camera with a cord strap just fits in. It is a tight fit, but I prefer that to having the camera bounce around. I can keep 2 extra charged batteries in the inside pocket. Hope this helps!
