Great
I think this a great book for toddlers to explain kinda what to expect when flying. It's colorful and explains everything in a way for a toddler to understand. At least I hope for my 2 year old before he does his first flight.

Must have for under 5 first flight prep
We read this to the baby every night for 2 weeks before taking him on his first flight. I really believe it helped him feel more comfortable when the real plane situation took place. I would recommend it to children 5 and under and even for babies. The clapping at the end is a nice touch and we did that on the plane for landing when it happened in real life.

Good for preparing toddler for flight
We bought this to prepare our 15-month-old for a plane trip and he absolutely loves it. The book does a good job of covering the key points of air travel. Checking in and security are only covered very briefly. Boarding the plane, finding your seat, getting a drink, waiting for the tiny bathroom, landing, and waiting for luggage are covered. The text is very brief but there are details of travel in the pictures that you can talk about with your kids. I was hoping for a book that would help my son be less alarmed by the plane noise and takeoff, and while this doesn’t fully cover those, it gives us a picture to look at while I talk about it.I was biased against ordering this because I tend to avoid popular characters/series, assuming they won’t be well written or clever, but this fit the bill for what we needed and my kiddo loves it. We also got “Playtown Airport” a lift-the-flap book, and he is full-on obsessed with that one. It is much more about the airport and less the traveler experience so I recommend both together.

Great preparation for child's first airplane ride
I bought this in preparation for my toddler's first airplane ride. I would say this is a book for a 3 year old or older, but worked good enough for my 2 year old. The book takes you through all the steps (airport to landing) of taking your first flight which is what I wanted. The illustrations are very colorful. My daughter has become quite fascinated with planes in the sky after reading this book so clearly she understood the main concepts.

Sometimes I would replace Maisy's name in with my daughter's name and replace the other characters' names with her favorite plush toy animals' names
This book helped prepare my 20 month old for her first time on a plane. I started reading it to her every day for a couple of weeks before our trip. She would often ask for it, too. Sometimes I would replace Maisy's name in with my daughter's name and replace the other characters' names with her favorite plush toy animals' names. Then during take off and landing (commonly the scariest parts of a plane ride), I said phrases from the book, like, "a little bump and jump and it lands," and she remembered the story and smiled. She actually enjoyed the whole plane ride experience. She still asks me to read this book sometimes, and I will start reading again more often when our next vacation gets closer to help prepare her again.

Perfect for first flight
Read this prior to my son's first flight. The book is colorful and clearly explains the process of flying. My son did great and even got an orange juice on the flight, just like Maisy :)

Adorable and accurate
Out of all the airplane books I look at, this one is perfect! We read it to my 3 year old many times before going on his first airplane ride. It touches all of the different situations during travel. From security, to baggage check, to being on the plane! We love it!
