Little Giant 1-A 115V, 170 GPH Small Manual Submersible Pump

This is probably my 4th purchase of the Little Giant pump over a 15 year period. They're high quality and work great. I use it in my back yard fountain. I've had to replace them every 3-4 years purely due to my own negligence. I've haven't seen a better pump in my searches.

Great little pump for a Pool Cover

This is not a consumer oriented company. I had a little giant pump for a number of years. It worked satisfactory. Just got a new one. In order to hook a hose up to it you have to buy a separate little piece of plastic threaded so you can screw it on the pump and to a hose. Without it you can’t pump out. That costs over $20. Also my old pump had an electrical cord of ten or twelve feet. The new one is only three or four feet. If they sold tables they probably wouldn’t include legs. If you can, buy somewhere else.

So I have a really bad rough leak in my bedroom right now and all the water does not drain properly because of my flat roof issues. I bought this pump on Amazon and order the hose. So far it’s working really well. The pump is in the lowest spot in an area where a lot of water just sits forever. The only way for me to get this water off the roof would be to use a squeegee brooms dustpan to get the water in the bucket and so on. I ordered it and this got delivered between 4 AM and 8 AM even though we just got a crazy snowstorm. This thing works really well for the price. It’s a pretty good deal.

When we put our first fish pond in 24 years ago, we thought that we would save a few dollars and we bought a cheap, plastic pump. It burned up in one year. We replaced it with a similar junk pump.... burned up again. We new that Little Giant pumps were great because my mother was running two for years. We decided to spend the money on our third pump. It has been running 24/7 for over 20 years! Occasionally, the screen will get clogged. A simple cleaning gets it back in business in just a few minutes. We just installed two new fish ponds and we bought 2 Little Giant pumps without hesitation.

Pump was exactly as described and functioned perfectly.

After working well for 80 days, the pump started tripping the gfi. There is measureable voltage on the case. I tried a call customer support. The phone number on the warranty sheet is disconnected. I tracked them down on their website only to learn that they won't talk to residential consumers and the web form to ask for help is broken. I guess I'll mail it to the address they give. Maybe it is better than the phone number and web forms they give. Or maybe they are just swamped with business and this is their way of reducing it.... I'll report back if I ever see my pump again.

I have owned three of these pumps for use in my outdoor fountain. I run the fountain all year long through all weather conditions including the 2016 snow storm. It is a powerful, subtle pump. It's incredibly durable, reliable, and easy to clean.

The best little pump. Several years ago it was recommended by someone who knows pumps. We use it for our fountain. I have a working one but when these were on sale I ordered 2 more for future use.

Lots of pressure and works very well.

Works great. Used it to pump water from rain barrel to garden. The plastic strainer that snaps on the pump doesn't fit very tight and can come off. That's why 4 stars instead of 5.
