The Sinatra Celebrity Cookbook: Barbara, Frank & Friends Hardcover – January 1, 1996

I meant to purchase this years ago, but somehow never got around to it. The recipes are just so-so, but the real deal here is that most of the proceeds benefit abused children. Frank and Barbara did--and are still doing--remarkably good work for the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. The main highlight for me is knowing I contributed to an extremely worthwhile cause, realizing this purchase will benefit some severly disturbed kids. On a brighter note, the color/b&w photos in the center of the book are an absolute delight. I had never seen most of these pictures, depicting Frank and Barbara insome very relaxed settings. Mr. Sinatra has been a big part of my life since 1949 through his incredible recordings and concert performances. Nobody--at least no other singer--was able to grab me like Sinatra did. Its been said a gazillion times, but no one has EVER been able to speak to me through song like Mr. S did. If you're like me and 'missed the boat' when this book first came out, now's the time to pick up a copy. You can still find copies available on AMAZON.COM. Happy reading!!

It was exactly as described. It had obviously never been cracked by its previous owner, who must not have been a Sinatra fan and this was given as a gag gift or regifted or something. So far I have made at least a dozen recipes out of it and they're all fine, but there's definitely a very 1970s sensibility, even though it was published in 1996.

Recipe quality is highly erratic from true classics to jokes. Interesting celebrity mix from the 90s with what I suppose would be expected results recipe wise. Still, it's an interesting read and does nothing to harm Frank's reputation especially with his known love of charitable causes.

I like the recipes , especially the one for carrot cake.

Every copy of this fantastic cookbook goes to help the Barbara Sinatra Center for abused children in California. What could be a better cause to help.The recipes in here are great and it is fun to see where they came from. Various friends of the Sinatra's submitted their favorite recipes to be included in this cookbook. Review the book to see what all is included. Its worth every penny. Suggest you buy it, a fun cookbook for a great cause.

Big Disappointment .. This book is Awful .. I'm a HUGE FAN of Mr. SINATRA .. This book is Crap and doesn't do the great man any justice what-so-ever ... I like this book. This is a collection of recipes that celebrities and popular personalities love. It was printed to raise money for a charity,It was a cute novel way to raise money and it worked. I am enjoying this book and have it on my coffee table. It is NOT a comprehensive "how to" cookbook or a cookbook of Italian recipes, though many are included. Enjoy
