Beautiful colors!
I've done two mandalas (pictured - from Jess Volinski "Colorful Creations Butterfly Mandalas" book). I've never done adult coloring before, or purchased any markers, but I found good reviews on these, and I'm super happy with them. The colors are beautiful - most are very close to the color of the cap, but a few are a little different - so I did a swatch on paper with each marker, and its name. Every marker wrote perfectly doing the swatch. A big bonus is that each marker's name is written on the barrel of the pen - no guessing. They are strong, good colors - one pass with the pen is usually all that's needed. I've only used them twice, but keep them vertically upside down (so the ink flows to the tip - what I heard is best for markers) and have had no problems of any drying out yet. Most of the time I only need to "tap" along the edge of the section on the mandala, if the spot is small, the markers kind of fill themselves in. BUT - that's not to say there's lots of bleeding - you just have to be careful in tiny spots - don't overdo until you let it work in to the paper. The tips seem very strong and durable - stay to a point. Two of the darkest greens and the darkest purples look very close to me, but I can tell a difference. Other than those, every color is quite different from the rest. I know when I start running low on ink from these, I will buy more from Bic. I did lots of research, and read lots of reviews before I bought any, and I think I make a really good choice!!! If these last like I think they will, I'll be going back to Bic every time I need more. Thanks, Bic, for a good product!

Amazing!
I absolutely love these markers. They are my go-to. I ve been using these markers for like 10 years. I just keep buying them. Never let me down. Great for writing, coloring and crafts. They last a long time. Don’t bleed. 100% recommend.

My go to markers for my adult coloring books.
My go to markers for my adult coloring books. I love that they have 3 tones of the different colors, it makes for good shading effects. The color comes out on the page slightly darker than is ends up being once it is completely dry. The ink colors smoothly and there is very little if any streaking unless you are coloring a large area and even then is minimal. I have been able to blend colors together by coloring darker over lighter tones while the lighter ink is still damp, but you have to be quick since it dries fairly quickly. I will say the color indicators, the clip, barrel band and end tip, on the pens themselves are not an accurate match to the ink on paper. No two colors are exact matches but some are very close, the darkest greens and the berry and the plum come to mind. Some of the light tones could be lighter, but compared to similar types of markers I am happy to have them. The ultra fine tips are good for most fine details, however like most alcohol markers they do bleed some. So you do have to be careful getting close to the lines as they could spread color beyond the line. They will definitely bleed through to the other side of the page on any of the paper i have had in a coloring book. I don't use them in books that have images on both sides of the page. I don't count this as a negative because it is the nature of the coloring medium not just this specific brand. The tri-fold storage container works really well form and helps to keep them organized and protected. It is sturdy and in the several months of regular use has not shown any wear and tear yet.I have also used Sharpie ultra fine point markers and I like the Bic better for range of color and smoothness in application, that said they are vary similar. I have a 24 set of the Sharpies that does have a few colors not in the Bic set, most notably neon colors. If I could only have one set of markers, the Bic Mark-it Ultra Fine would be the set I would choose.I have attached a couple page I colored with the Bics. The fourth image was an attempt at blending the markers together. I am pretty happy with the results.

Are they good as Sharpies ???
I have recently taken up the hobby of coloring in adult coloring books. I first tried colored pencils and I found you had to press hard to get any color. I then tried Ultra fine Sharpies. I love Sharpies and have purchased EVERY COLOR AVAILABLE but I'm still not satisfied with the color choices. That's what led me to the BIC Mark-it ultra fines 36 count pack.OK,you get 36 colors in a great cases. The case holds the pens firmly and folds out to display them perfectly for use. I love the case and it's the only reason I gave these 5 stars rather than 4. The color selection is great. I mostly wanted these to get more pastels and brown hues. For the most part I'm happy with my purchase. Here's a little about these:* You get 36 markers.* The markers have rubberized grips. They are very comfortable to hold.* The ink color on many of the markers is way off from the pen cap color.* The tips on the BIC ultra fines is about the same as a Ultra fine sharpie. I would say the Sharpies tip is just a tiny bit finer.* I find these are NOT as bright as Sharpies.* Color flow differs greatly between pens. Some flow too freely others are quite dry.* The tip does not cut, tear or put grooves in your coloring page.* They do bleed through coloring book pages.* I feel the tips "wear" more quickly compared to Sharpies.* Color selection is great. They include many hues of green(5?) They also have a nice section of pastels. Also there is a great "Tan" pen included. I love the tan pen for coloring in backgrounds.Overall, these are worth adding to your marker collection. I wont say their better than Sharpie but I do like the color choices in this set.

Love these.
I love these permanent markers. More than other leading brands. The colors are really rich and I used them for coloring, they work great.
