You will wonder why you didn't buy this sooner.
I heard that I should spend a little extra to get this one, the high quality brand. I am glad that I didn't go cheap. It works well and is well made. It fits my little mini Aussipoo. She has the skinniest neck, and I was afraid it would be huge. I took about 3 prongs out, and it is perfect with the adjustment. I should have bought this immediately. It has changed how she walks completely. She did not like it when I first put it on, but after practicing for a few minutes, she is like a new dog. I am not exaggerating! This fixed my dog in minutes. I don't really have to tighten it at all - just a couple times at the very beginning. She got the point and now walks nicely at my side. She is also not afraid of it. When I say "walk," she expects the collar and lets me put it on her quite happily. It is just like a guide to remind her not to pull and walk by my side. This is the best dog training tool I have ever purchased. (American Standard K9 Training on YouTube really helps explain how to use this if you do not know.)

This collar is LIFE CHANGING!!
Hella long review but walk with me, haha. ๐ถ I have hypermobile EDS and my joints ache severely every time after taking my dogs out or for a walk. We have a Border Collie mix and a Husky, they both pull but the Husky pulls to the point where I straight up canโt deal with him on the leash. We tried everything: treats, clickers, shorter leashes, and gentle leaders. The gentle leader worked until the Husky figured out he could just turn around and pull, which made going out a long process full of constant corrections and redirection. My boyfriend had graciously started solely taking them out so Iโm not in pain, but I didnโt want to put that all on him or miss out on my babies having fun outside. I figured we had exhausted all options and this was just how life would be with our dogs, but after the Husky slipped out of his gentle leader on Halloween and made a run for it dressed up as a hot dog, I knew I needed to figured something out fast! After hours of searching and comparing, I decided to give this collar a try and when it showed up, my boyfriend thought I bought a torture device and honestly I was a little worried about it too. I took them out just ONE TIME to go potty, and it was MAGICAL!! Our Husky boy STOPPED PULLING!!! Even after getting the collar on him, he didnโt fuss around! The sizing chart and directions are very accurate: we measured his neck at 18โ and added 2โ. The 20โ collar was perfect fit right out of the package, but can be easily adjusted by removing or adding links. The prongs on the links can be a little tricky at first, but get easier with use. As long as you have a little grip strength, itโs not that difficult to pop off/on. Other reviewers said to get the additional quick release thing, which I agree would be better in the long run if you have issues with hand strength, joint pain, or mobility. The chain, rings, and links feel very durable and there is no smell. I like that itโs just metal, so much easier to keep clean! I took them for a walk the next day and he did so good on the leash, no pulling or choking himself and no coughing!! ๐ญ I felt like it made him more aware of commands, he looked happy and confident for the first time! I was so impressed by this collarโs ability to distribute the pressure of him pulling without harming him that I returned the martingale collar we got for our other dog because she was coughing from pulling on the leash during our walk and buying her this one instead!!

Reliable high-quality that will last you for years.
This is a high-quality prom collar, not those cheap ones real metal last long good for training and especially for dogs. I like to pull you a lot so they really feel that pressure and they know not to do that so yeah overall high-quality really recommend not those cheap ones.

Power steering for dogs!
Power steering for dogs. We have experience with Sprenger training collars. We lent our last one and it never came back! This one has a much more secure closure than the clasp on my old one, if a little more difficult to use. As before, our 8 month old dog found the end of the lead about three times with this training collar before he figured out heโd follow that lead without fail. From now on, it only needs occasional reinforcement.

Gets the job done
I was hesitant to buy a pinch collar but Iโve definitely seen some improvement in leash pulling on walks. Unfortunately when my dog sees another dog, not even this collar will deter him from lunging and choking himself to try to play with them. I have tested walking him with and without the collar though, and he is definitely more manageable with this. Itโs a little difficult to get on and off because you have to pinch the prongs together pretty hard, but overall it serves its purpose.

Heavy duty and effective
I have had prong German training colors before for my dogs, and in general they are the most effective at training my dogs to walk well on a leash. These Herm Sprenger collars are heavier than the average, and at first I was concerned about that, but it doesnโt seem to bother either of my 50 pound dogs and it does seem to be even more effective at making them behave on the leash, so I am quite pleased. As usual, you can adjust for size by removing links.

Donโt hurt the dog at all. They just do their job.
These are absolutely amazing. Please invest in the Herm Springer Martin Gale, action prong collar. Itโs not very loud when you pull it. If itโs perfectly itโs a very adorable. The color is fine. The cups works fine and itโs just amazing for dog training. It works wonders if you use it right if you donโt know how to use it and you donโt know how to train your dog. Donโt just put it on your dog. Look up a YouTube video. Itโs not that hard but if you have a dog and theyโre very reactive or theyโre just not very well trained, please invest in one of these. They will save you so many migraines.

Easy to take on and off; but stays safely on while walking with leash!
Easy to take on and off. We had a collar before where you would have to latch and unlatch it. This is much easier; our dog is now used to slipping it on and off!

A must have tool if you have a reactive and puller dog
Before I purchased this prong collar I have did tons of research, and everyone all say the Herm Sprenger is the best effective collar. Yes there are several off brand collars out there that maybe cheaper and also may work, but I didn't want to cheap myself or my dog. I heard that the off brand prong collars can be faulty and poorly made and have sharp edges instead of round smooth edges. But we ain't here to talk about those we here to talk about this bad boy. I like to reference Tom Davis and Dog Daddy on youtube. Both of these guys are amazing which shows real dogs with reactive and pulling and aggressive dogs. My dog is a 4 year old German Shepard mix that I got from the shelter. Very friendly, but very reactive to things like cars, people and dogs moving by. His bark definitely gives off that I'm a aggressive dog, but really not. After doing my research from the two Trainers above I purchased the Herm Sprenger prong collar. Note there are mentioned of fakes out there so be sure to check the spelling and prongs edges. So the first day we wanted to see how he do without the prong collar. Which he pulled and was just doing his own thing. My Dog is about around 65 pounds and is pretty strong so I know my wife and 6 year old won't be able to walk him. I had to take out about 4 links off, my dogs neck about 18inches, the collar I got was 22inches, so I got extra link just in case. Mind you that it will take some time getting use to taking the collar on and off as you have to pinch pretty hard to pull off but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. So I slapped the collar on my dog, and we begin training. The tip is to conduct U-turn correction which means if you see your dog leading ahead of you, you want to immediately U turn and pop the collar as you turning which your dog would immediately turn with you as the collar does a pinch pressure. For a good 10 mins of doing this I saw my dog do way less pulling. The tips I learned is that the dog needs a job to do. The dog wants to be led. If he can not be led he or she will assume command and do what they want. Hence you see some dogs pulling their owners. So it more of the dog taking the owner for a walk rather then the owner taking the dog for a walk. So the goal is to make sure your Dog is paying attention to you and you only. When you cut left your dog should cut left. Now note that timing the correction is key. I recommend you watch the youtube clips on Tom Davis and Dog Daddy. As for the second day of leash training, my dog only needed one correction that was at the very beginning of the walk. I did my U turn , all around in circles and stops and my dog was watching my every move. Not letting the leash extend to far to feel that pressure. My dog slows walk with me and you can see him looking back at me every other second to make sure I'm not trying to make a U turn or move. But definitely improved his walking on leash without pulling. You can see him checking in which is what I want from him. Mind you that during your corrections you may hear your dog yelp that is perfectly fine as that is part of the correction. Like example when your mom tells you don't do something and you do it and she give you a pop in the head. So next time when you in that same situation you think before doing it as you know if you do it youll get pop again. So the Dog have that same sense, they know if they do that wrong thing they will feel that pop. I know some people may think prong collar are inhumane or think that it hurts the dog. But If you properly and fitted correctly the prong collar can be a useful tool to correct misbehavior and communicate with your dog. Dogs don't know English so the collar can be used to help communicate what you trying to command your dog to do. As I mentioned I recommend that you watch youtube videos to see what I'm saying. But overall this product is a must have if you want to teach your dog to walk on the leash and to prevent the reactiveness of your dog.
