As expected…usable, but damaged.
Content as expected, shipping as usual is no match for Amazon 10 years ago. Consider that it will be usable, but bent and damaged when it arrives as most books from Amazon are. Not sellers fault, poor packaging.

Still usable
Book is still usable, but damaged. For how expensive the book is, kind of a shame. Still usable. Not sure it’s the sellers fault. I wasn’t going to leave a review but I saw other had damaged books, maybe the seller can improve shipping.

Great new edition
Well written, well organized, and an absolute must-have for anyone interested in the subject of fire fighting and safety. Keeps getting better with every edition. Highly recommended.

Lotta filler material
This book has a lot of really great information, but could be about 50 pages shorter if all of the barely-relevant anecdotes and stories were omitted. Case in point: Chapter 11 has a section entitled “Overcoming the Effects of Fire on Steel”, which lists ways the author believes that engineers deal with fire risks, followed by several pages of disjointed rambling and stories that have nothing to do with the list at the beginning of the section, or with the title of the section for that matter. This is a running theme in the book. Some chapters are incredibly well written and informative, others seem to have been anssembled out of leftover scraps from the cutting room floor. Many times I’ve wondered if the author got paid by the page.

Damaged book, cost a lot for damage!
Book arrived with water damage to bottom section of book. No damage to packaging, looks like it was put in package damaged.
