This DVD's film footage was shot during the Vietnam War between 1966 and 1970 at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP), which was a front-line facility used by the United States in its wars against North Vietnam and the Pathet Lao Communist guerillas in Laos from 1961 to 1975. Because of its proximity to North Vietnam, many pilot rescue missions were launched from this secret base. The DVD includes day-to-day activities around the base, Excellent flight line scenes, as well as documentation of various facilities. Some nice aerial views. Also The DVD includes HH-3E (Jolly Green Giant) and A-1Es (Skyraider) rescue of Maj. Joseph L. Hutto; a visit by comedian Jonathan Winters with the pilots and crews of A-26 (Nimrods) and T-28 (Zorros); interview with Jolly Green Giant crew that crashed in North Vietnam and was rescued, activities of forward air controllers flying O-2A Skymasters and OV-10A Broncos and scenes from Task Force Alpha. This DVD includes silent film with captions.
