I'm not really sure what to say about these wires ...
I'm not really sure what to say about these wires, other than they work as expected. They seem to be made reasonably well. They were really cheap, and they work, so I can't complain. The audio cables didn't come with this, but I have tons of regular audio cables laying around, so that wasn't an issue.

Best value for your money.
At first I thought this cable was going to give me problems because it's was not gold platted, but I have to say that this cable works. It's meant to be used with any DVD Player that is Progressive Scan compatible that is hooked up to an HDTV. Don't use it as a scource for HD television because HDMI cables are better if you have a digital cable or satilite box with HDMI output. HDMI cables are getting cheaper if you buy on online. But the most important part about this was I got it for cheap. If you are looking to save money when hooking up your DVD player with 480p Progressive Scan to an HDTV. Buy this Component Video Cable, don't buy if you an HDMI output on it.

pretty good.
Great cables but HDMI cables are better. Much better... ( And dont be fooled by Monster brand. Basically any HDMI cables give a sharp vivd picture.

Items different than advertised picture
I ordered the this item on 4/5/13. It arrived on 4/10/13. However the item is just generic cable in plastic bag, NOT Philips brand. The cable is very thin, almost the same width as composite cable (the red, white, yellow cable type). Most component cables I have were very thick and heavily shielded. This cable is no more than the composite w/ blue and green color connector instead of white and yellow. Probably would cost me more if I ship it back.

Not as good as other, higher priced, cables
I bought these cheaper cables thinking that all that talk about gold plated terminals, silver content solder, etc. found on other cables was just a way of justifying a higher price. But when I compared the performance of these Phillips cables with Monster THX 500 cables (bought at Radio Shack) and Radio Shack brand cables using my (non digital, low def) Panasonic DVD recorder/player I found that the Phillips cables gave the least bright, least colored, image of the bunch. The monster cables were clearly the best. I would have saved some money by adjusting the TV settings if it were only a matter of color saturation, but I figured ramping up the backlight setting to the max to compensate for the dim image probably wouldn't be that good for the tv.Funnily enough, when I did the same test with an older Panasonic DVD player, the original composite cable gave the best image. Go figure.

No problem
Cables work fine. No problem. Good price. An interesting occurrence. After reading some reviews where customers ordered these specific cables only to have some dealers send cheaply made generics, I decided to ask questions before ordering. I asked, "I need to know if these cables are indeed the ones described, i.e., Philips PA61071 6 feet. Thank you". Monkey Parts: "Please do not order. Thanks". Cable Builders: no reply.

As good as Monster, a fraction of the cost
I bought these from Amazon last fall to connect my DVD player to my new HD. I did not want to shell out the $100 for monster cables and figured I could only lose $8 getting these. They have worked out very well! I am very impressed with the signal quality. I compared my picture recently to a friends. While we both have rear project HD sets, we have different brands of TV and DVD. He has monster cables. I did not see any difference in the appearance compared to my setup.Save yourself the money and get these. They work great!

Good for the price, but can tell a difference in picture quality
I'm using these for my XBOX 360. I went back and forth between a set of "high quality" cables, and these cheaper cables, on a 47" LCD TV... There is a noticeable loss of quality if you're running at 1080 - but at 720 it becomes impossible to tell between the two...Overall, I'd say since 720 is native for the XBOX - these cables work perfectly for that purpose. I wouldn't use these if you are trying to up-convert from 720 though... you're better off going with different cables for that.
