I want to be comfortable with using the manual settings as well as the ...
I just bought this and have only begun to play around with it but so far I think it rocks. There are so many options available which is what I wanted because I want to go back and do what I did with my 35mm SLR when I would take it off of Automatic. I want to be comfortable with using the manual settings as well as the auto settings for versatility. I am hoping I get as good or better video and sound quality out of this camera as I do with my Droid Mini cell phone because it really has surprised me with what it is capable of. I have another small digital camera that takes pretty good video but the audio is easily distorted and that has always been a drawback but that camera was given to me so I cant complain. That camera design though is what drew me to purchasing this one because of the style and the hand grip. This camera is bigger and weighs more and I like that feel as well as the soft grip on the lens. This one feels more like my 35mm SLR did which will help with holding it nice and steady. Again I have been reading a lot about what this camera will do from the manual and I read the reviews on it as well as some others and I am convinced I bought the right one for me. I have purchased good quality rechargeable batteries as well as the AC adapter and a smart charger to be used with it so now I am ready to put it through the paces. The menus are not difficult to follow and once I get used to where everything is I think it will be a very useful and versatile camera. Just like anything else that is new or different it will take a little practice and getting used to just like when going from my Blackberry to my Droid Mini. LOL One of the other things I did before buying this camera was to go on line and get the PDF version of the manual and look through it to see if it would be too complicated. Also there are some great YouTube videos on it that go into a fair amount of the features and that helped with my decision as well.Hope this helps you in some way.

Great Camera
I wanted a digital camera with a viewfinder. I have a small Panasonic Lumix digital camera, but every time I take pictures in the sun, all I can see in the LCD display is a reflection of my face. I saw this Fujifilm FinePix S9200 in Sam's Club, and liked the way it looked and felt. When I got home, I checked it out on Amazon, as well as a few other cameras. I liked the price and the features. And even though there were no reviews for it, I took a chance and bought it. It was very easy to set up, especially for someone who doesn't know a lot about cameras. I like being able to use the viewfinder, and it's very easy to switch between the viewfinder and the 3" LCD. I like that there are 2 places where you can adjust for telephoto zoom or wide angle pictures. It's very easy to review the pictures you've taken and to delete the ones you don't want. And I'm very happy with the picture quality. For an amateur, it was a good buy.

great price, great photos
I have to say this is a pretty amazing hybrid camera, small, light weight...takes amazing closeups, has an amazing zoom capability, really more of a camera then I ever imagined. I got it to have something in between my small point and shoot camera and my big canon. Also this camera runs on batteries, 4 AA batteries...however the best batteries to use that will make the camera like all of the other lithium battery camera's is to buy Panasonic eneloop NiMH Smart Batteries. These batteries are absolutely the best and last as long as any of my other camera rechargeable batteries.

In LOVE with this camera
I bought this camera because I wanted to start doing Photography. I'm not a pro by any means but I have kids and I wanted better quality photos. My father in law has a Cannon and this Fujiflim camera is a little heavier than a Cannon. The ONLY thing I don't like about this camera is I can not buy extra lens for it but I think we do just find without them! This is a PERFECT beginners camera so if you're wanting to try your hand at photography I would suggest starting with this camera and working your way up.My photos are of the Super/Blood Moon from September 27, 2015. I took these photos out of my living room window at almost full zoom. As you can see they ARE clear and quite beautiful. I have never been able to capture the mood without it being blurry with all my other cameras so I am pretty happy about this!**Please do NOT save OR copy my photos without permission**

I was disappointed
I wanted a backup for my Canon slr and thought this would be it....I have used Fuji point and shoot cameras for many years and always loved them...This camera just wasn't up to the normal Fuji quality. The pictures I took with mine had too much noise and for some reason came out blurry or soft..I tried shooting on auto as well as manual and just could not get a good picture with it. I returned it and bought the Nikon P600 which I love.
