excellent notebook
I have been journaling for over 30 years and this is my favorite journal. I was a fan of moleskin for a long time, but their unlined journals only come in black or red. I love the color choices of the Leuchtturm and that the pages are numbered. There is also an index page in the front, and a few perforated pages in the back. It has a pocket in the back as well. (As does moleskin.) The paper is the right thickness and not too slick.

The only thing I don't really like is the thickness of the paper - or should I say "thinness". Love the page numbers and the index section at the front.

The pages! Oh So Thin!
I love notebooks! I bought this because it did come highly recommended by a few bloggers. However, I was disappointed by how see-through the pages are. The book itself is beautiful. I love the tan and hot pink. It feels nice to hold in your hand. Plenty of pages to fill up. The pocket in the back is huge. The last pages in the book are perforated to easily tear off if you need a quick page for something else. It also brings stickers for you to use on it and one sheet to illustrate what their lined and squared notebook page options look like.Having said all that, the fact that the pages are oh so very thin almost trumps all the positive. I'm still going to use it. Only for notes and business ideas, but I won't be able to color in it or design pages with heavy marker or water colors. I'd basically destroy it. Heavy ink pens won't work well either, and regular ink pens are fine, but once you turn the page to write on the back you'll be able to see exactly what you wrote on the front of the page clear as day. Of course, vice versa. It's beyond annoying.

Awesome little book.
Love this book. I use it for my brush calligraphy. Though the pages are see through I usually write notes or what not on the backside of a page I did my calligraphy on. But I sometimes do more calligraphy on the otherside of the page as well too.I use the Pentel Brush Pen mostly and it works really well. No bleed or feathering.I will say this though. The Leuchtturm I received had a twisted elastic strap. Not sure what happened there, but the strap still serves its purpose, so I'm fine with it being twisted.

Outstanding journal with numbered pages & index
Love the journal for its size, index, numbered pages, included labels, and 2 marking ribbons.

Blank journal, no grid or lines
I'm using this as a bullet journal. It does not have a grid or lines, but it does come with an insert that you can put behind the page you are working on if you want a grid or lines. I love the fact that the pages are numbered and that it has an indexing system at the front. The journal seems nice and sturdy which will be a nice change from the paperbacked Moleskine I'm currently using.

No regrets, but I won't re-purchase
The journal is high-quality, very sturdy. I've just about filled this one up, and it's traveled well. The colors (for me, blue and lime green) are vibrant and a pleasure to see. The paper is a tactile pleasure, extremely smooth.Unfortunately, the paper is thinner than I'd hoped. There's shadow visible from the ink on the back of each page, with occasional bleed-through, (using Pilot Precise V5 pens, various colors.) The couple of times I tried to use both sides, it was awful. I like the journal, but I've gone through it twice as fast as I'd hoped due to this issue. I'll be trying another brand for my next journal.

Great for journaling
I like this notebook for journaling. Just pencils and pens, nothing fancy like watercolors or fountain pens.

Great book, very confusing selection
Unless you prefer the floppy soft cover of Moleskin, these are the best notebooks on the market. The best from the point of view of quality and features. The cover is strong, the rubber band as well and the paper is fine, but strong. In terms of feature, I do appreciate the two 'markers' (fabric ribbons), the ToC and page numbers and the stickers that I use to label the many books once I 'archive' them.I do have one dislike and one caveat. Dislike: for me, a loop for a pen is missing and to add insult to injury, you can buy one for £2.50 !!! crazy!Caveat: the variety of these books is mind boggling and the way the Amazon site works, it is very easy to end up with the wrong book depending on availability of your desired combination of plain/ruled/..., colour and possibly size. In my case: I selected 'ruled' paper and went through the different colours to check prices and how the colour looks like on a larger pic. As soon as I hit a colour that is not available with ruled paper, the type of paper switches to what is available, eg plain. Suddenly, I am only looking at plain paper books... This means that you keep toggling all criteria and are also looking at the price (which can differ between colours). After doing this for a while, you may become complacent about which book you are ordering.

genial

Lovely notebook, beautifully designed!
Such a lovely, well made notebook. Beautifully presented with a lovely colour scheme. Nice little touches within the notebook in the form of a little storage area at the back, a ribbon bookmark and elastic strap to keep the notebook closed and to retain any loose documents tucked into the notebook itself. The paper is beautiful to write on, especially using a fountain pen. Love the fact the pages are numbered, with a contents featuring at the front. The nicest notebook I have ever written in.

Details make all the difference.
