Strong recommend this product!
Oh gosh! Why did I not know about this kind of therapy before?I was one of those that do not really care for alternative form of medicine. I injured my knee lately and was very anxious to find something to ease up the swelling and unexplainable pain. Crutches is so uncomfortable. I unfortunately unable to take nsaids meds as my body reacts badly to it.I purchased this products with not much expectations. Used it as soon as I received it - three time on the first day; the 3rd time when I was already in bed. So surprised that I was able to sleep through that night without taking Tylenol (the only otc pain med that I can take)and not waking up in the middle of the night due to intense pain..Very much pleased with this product.

Intriguing and Effective
I've always been interested in the idea of using red light therapy for my lower right leg. It's a residual limb (amputated) below the knee. I have lingering issues with edema and pain along with a relatively mild wound on the very end of the limb.My wound care physician had suggested working with something that would increase circulation and perhaps stimulate healing. While she'd recommended some very high-end compression devices, I'd for the most part resisted. This is a red light therapy device primarily targeting use on the calf area. There is some indication it can also be used on the arm. However, I've been using it as instructed.I ordered and received the device in a timely manner. Everything was included to make sure the device would work. This includes the actual device, a remote with 20-minute auto shut-off timer, an AC adapter 100-240v) with power cord, and 1 DC cord.I will admit it took me a few minutes to figure out how everything connects even with provided directions, though that's mostly because I don't have the greatest technical mind. The accompanying brochure is actually quite well done. The device is designed for the combination of red and infrared lights to increase blood circulation. This helps to relieve calf pain, accelerate healing of muscles, relieve muscle cramps, reduce stiffness, relieve varicose veins, promote blood circulation, and enhance recovery after activities. In my case, once I figured out putting the device together I found it easy to use and am still actively using it. It's easy to put on my leg and comfortable to do so. Increasing circulation helps with swelling and helps a bit with my wound healing (in conjunction with ongoing care). The device comes with a 1-year defects liability, 60 days return and replacement warranty, and 18-month free replacement for the charger, controller, and connectors if they are broken. It is worth noting that the customer is responsible for return postage. The brochure is also very clear that they do not accept returns for reasons like "I don't like it" or "I don't want it." While the device is MUCH less expensive than some compression devices, it's still a decent investment so I'd be sure before ordering. However, I will say that everything I received worked and continues to work as designed.Overall, I think this works really well but I also have reasonable expectations. It's not a miracle device. It helps promote healing and I think it's a great addition to my ongoing regimen. It provides a level of circulation that I have difficulty with myself.I don't have varicose veins - so, I can't speak to its effectiveness in that area.I would recommend as the device is working as promised and my leg is showing some signs of decreased swelling, less joint pain, and I think the increased circulation is promoting my wound healing. So, I find this device intriguing and effective and will continue to use it.

Great Product (but a little small)
My legs are toothpicks. The largest part of my calf measures 15 inches around. And yet this red light therapy device is not really large enough to go completely around the upper part of my calf. So I do wish it was a little bigger. I'm sure for some folks, with larger legs than mine, would have to half their leg at a time. I did use it on my forearm as well. The size was about right for that though it was a little longer than my forearm. Doing my hand or upper arm at the same time was not a problem.I have a number (like 10) of RLT devices and this is the one that I use the most. It is much more convent to use than the hand-held units. I can just wrap it around a leg or arm while I sit at my desk working on something else. There's a nice warmness after a few minutes of use that I have not experienced with other devices. Most others also have some type of a timer but usually these default to a 10 minute run time. I like the fact that this RLT wrap stays on for 20 minutes (which is still safe). This unit is quite well made. The cord is more than 15 feet long. I have vacuum sweepers with shorter cords. This really makes it nice to use at my desk, or laying in bed or even while eating supper. There's always an outlet close enough to plug into. The cord and plugs are heavy duty, professional grade too.A year ago, before trying Red Light Therapy, I was very skeptical about its effectiveness. However, my own experience and reading some articles I found at the US National Library of Medicine, The New York Academy of Sciences and the American Geriatrics Society, have redirected my initial skepticism.Red Light Therapy (RLT) has other names which are often referred to in medical studies, these primarily include: photobiomodulation (PBM), low level light therapy (LLLT), Narrow-Band Light Therapy (NBLT) and low-power laser therapy (LPLT). In looking into some of the possible benefits of this treatment, I found that though still technically unproven, there have been well documented studies that have produced evidence to suggest that Red Light Therapy may be effective for:1. Improving skin complexion and building collagen. It has been shown to diminish wrinkles.2. Reducing some of the side effects of cancer treatment.3. Relieving pain and disability in degenerative osteoarthritis of the knee.4. Lessening pain and inflammation in people with pain in tendons.5. Promoting wound healing and tissue repair.Additional studies are needed but I'm pretty convinced by the evidence I read in the above listed journals, that there really is something to Red Light Therapy. I found lots of additional claimed benefits but these still lack support.

comfortable leg brace
I have many of red light therapy devices. This is the only one that fits my legs and calves so well. I'm suffering from excruciating leg pain. I've been using it for a few days now, but I'm only getting minor relief because I know it takes several sessions to achieve full relief.

great for calves
I have many red light therapy devices. This is the only one that fits so well on my legs and especially calves. I have unbearable leg pain. I have been using this for a few times now but Am only getting slight relief so far as I know it takes many sessions to get full relief. I do however really like the shape and size of this particular one.
