This device certainly does what it should, it allows you to hook up ordinary phones to your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.So if you want to dump your pricey landline, this device is recommended to do that.But I collect vintage phones, which unfortunately will not work on my landline (VOIP line from the Dutch ISP Ziggo), since it's not analog. Fortunately with this device, only the ringer cable inside the PTT plug had to be moved to another pin (that pin has more voltage), and the phone works fine! Nothing is as good as an old phone, and being able to replace holding my cellphone in the home is certainly something someone like me would want. Except that it can be a little static-y at times, and there can be a delay every now and then (but I believe the cellphone is the one causing that), this device is great for what I wanted it for, so 4 stars.

I bought a Gigaset device about 3 or 4 years ago so I could connect my cordless phones to my cell phone and drop my land line, and I haven't regretted it for a moment! This is one of those few devices that actually works better than they say it will. The directions recommends having the cell phone within 10 feet of the device in order to connect, but my phone connects anywhere within my house and even when I'm halfway down a long driveway in my car! The setup was easy, and to date, I have never had to re-pair the device since originally turning it on years ago. The call quality has been indistinguishable from a land line, although it does often take a delay of a ring cycle or so before the cordless phones engage. I'm buying an additional Gigaset for an elderly parent so they can drop the cost of a land line, and I highly recommend this device for anyone else that wants to get rid of the land line without giving up the convenience of not carrying the cell phone around the house. By the way, this is the first Amazon-purchased product that I've written a comment on, it's been that good!

This device does what it claims. We got rid of our land line - "porting" the land line number to an additional cell phone (non-smart phone) line we got for $10/month, then sync'd it to this device. All phones in the house function fine over this device. There is one HUGE draw back however. While it saves us money... there is a trade off. If you call a number that requires a menu response (i.e. "press 1 for english") it will not recognize any input EXCEPT from the cell phone sync'd... no other phones on the network can respond to prompts.

Got Gigaset One to get rid of my land line. Was a little worried about product because of poor customer service ratings. Customer support is poor, when you get through to them, which is difficult. Good news, set up was easy, had it working with cordless phone and cell phone in 5 minuets. Next day after I had land line stopped I spent an hour trying to get all my phones to work. Customer service was backed up and no help. After rereading manual and remembering the two line adapter Customer service the day before told me I needed, I got all to work. A line diagram of different hook up options would be a big help. Was not obvious in instructions which line to use form Gigaset. One line from top plug to wall using two line adapter at wall and hooking cordless phone to wall adapter also. Set works great cell phone and all six house wired and cordless phones work.

This is the device I've been waiting for. I was a bit leery of all of the negative reviews but decided to go for it since one guy with an iphone said it worked great. Easy setup, paired right up with my iphones. Outgoing calls were great, with or without a phone line. But anytime I tried to call inbound, either on the phone line or the cell phone, all of the lights would blink out on the unit, and it would go brain dead. It acts like it drops power and resets whenever it tries to ring the phones. Thinking maybe my 6 house phones were overloading it, I plugged just one phone into it, but got the same thing. If no phone was plugged in, it was fine and stayed on, but how would you know a call was coming in? I've seen several other reviews with exactly the same problem, and unfortunately I have to add mine to the pile. It will be going back to Amazon.

The phone sound gets choppy and comes in and out. I find myself picking up my cell phone to talk directly. But, it is a nice way to answer quickly or dial a number directly from the desk phone. I wouldn't get this device; get another one found here on Amazon for much less.

I am able to hook up my blackberry with no problem and use my home phone with my cell. This is great since I can leave my phone in my purse and still hear my cell phone and answer the regular phone. It is used on a phone system with both a corded and cordless phones. The caller id works great with my blackberry.

I bought the gigaset one on Oct, 2013. It works fine for my two cell phones. However, it starts to fail after 6 months. Calling the customer service of Gigaset, the rep. states that they are not responsible for the warranty since it is manufactured by the Xtreme. Gigaset is just the distributor. Contacting the Xtreme, the rep. answered that it is not under their warranty. Furthermore, the Xtreme rep. said the problem is my cell phone, not the box. This is a shame and unfortunate to say the least. My cell phone works probably after testing it with other bluetooth devices. I hope there is any alternative option.
