It works, kinda.
Very easy to use, after it's configured correctly. Out of the box I plugged in my Ethernet cable and voila internet! So then I immediately went to the play store.... The unit froze. I reset, froze. Reset froze. Reset froze. Finally found my way through some system sub menus to uninstall updates for the play store which rolled back to whatever previous version the play store was using and was finally able to access it. Kind of....A lot of the apps I wanted to run (I use a pixel 3 phone) are apparently not compatible with a pixel 2 which is what Google play detected the device as.There are still Lots of games you can play....and lots that you can't. It was frustrating because the way this was advertised in the description sounded like any Android app was going to work.Specifically GeForce Now is not compatible thought the play store. I had to manually download the app for it to work. I purchased this thing specifically for this app which is why I mention it.As well as several other apps that I was excited to play.It does the basics just fine. And has a pretty easy to use interface and out of the box mouse and keyboard support for wireless 2.4ghz.Overall this thing could be amazing if all the apps worked.

Snappy little Android TV Box perfect for streaming
It's not the most powerful box on the market but it is snappy which is important. The home screen and navigating to the streaming app you want feels good. It came pre-loaded with Netflix and Google Play. I was surprised to see that it was using the Android TV version of the Google Play Store. Often these cheap Android TV boxes use the phone store so the streaming apps are limited to 720p but that's not the case here. You get full 1080p60 video from this little box. I tested this using my broadcast monitor and the monitor read out the signal as 1080p. I also tested the 4K video signal and my monitor confirmed to me that it was indeed UHD 4K.It does not ship with batteries for the remote but 2x AAA batteries are easy to find around the house. The D-pad and OK button sit perfectly on the remote for your thumb. As soon as you grip the remote your hand falls right into place, making navigating the screens super easy. The front of the TV box has a LCD clock and a LED to tell you that WiFi is connected. I haven't seen that before on other boxes. The Mi Box S and the ROKU boxes have neither a lock or WiFi signal indicator so this was a nice bonus. This is not a gaming powerhouse box but it works great with hardwired SNES controllers for doing retro games. All the major emulator apps were in the play store. This box can handle up to lite N64 gaming. It won't handle Golden Eye but you can do Diddy Kong Racing and Mario 64 no problem.

Move on - Almost none of the apps I tried worked
I bought this Android TV box so I could watch HBO Max on my tv without having to connect my computer. I currently use Roku which does not have the app. I also use Youtube Tv, Disney +, Prime Video, and Pluto TV. Of all the apps, Prime Video is the only one that works properly. The HBO Max plays but the screen is zoomed in on the upper left, so you lose about 25% of what should be on the screen. Youtube TV loads, but give an error code when you try to stream anything. Having a Google app not work on its own platform was the first red flag. The Pluto TV would not even load. There is no Disney + on the Google Play Store for this device. I went through all the usual fixes: restarting, switching to ether-net, trying to update the device, where it gets stuck in a loop- I stopped it after when I came back form working on other things 20 minutes later (the second red flag). I reset to factory settings, which caused the Play Store to stop working (third red flag). I fixed it by undoing the updates for the Play Store. This left me with several questions as to why it worked, since the Play Store said it was the current version after rolling it back (fourth red flag). I reinstalled all the apps with same results. I am sure some versions of Android TV boxes work fine, just not this one.

Does not work like the description says.
I was excited to finally get my new tv box, but was very disappointed. The Google Play store app kept sticking. It seemed like there was a disconnect between the remote and the box. It takes a long time for anything to come in the screen, once you click on an app. Most times the screen goes black. I’m not sure if this one was just defective or what the issue is.

Youtube without annoying ads, finally
I got it for the main purpose of watching youtube without their annoying ads. I was able to connect it to a wifi and install youtube vanced app. Now I can watch youtube without ads and do not have to buy their premium subscription. You have to point directly into a TV box with a remote, and you might need to use a mouse for setting things up.Pros: android apps, remote and cables includedCons: no batteries for remote included

This Android box is like an old plumber...solid, but not very sexy.
I really didn't do my homework before deciding to buy this Android box. It works okay, but lacks a lot of the "bells and whistles" that I would have liked, had I spent a couple of extra dollars for a better box.The setup, while functIonal, was not as smooth as other Android boxes that I have owned or setup for my friends in the past. Some of the apps I loaded required some moderately complex "work arounds"...at least, they were complex for me.Two of the things that I still can't figure out are how to update the Google Play Store and how to update my current version of Chrome. Everytime I attempt to update these apps, I get a message that the updated version will not work on this box. Fortunately, I was able to "roll back" the updates I installed to a previous version of these programs that do work on this box.Given all my complaints, this Android box works well with the apps that I have installed on it. However, I would like to make it's appearance look a little more "sexy."

I may have gotten a bad one
I really wanted to like this box, but after several months with a few software upgrades, I will have to give it a 3/5. The picture quality is good but it has issues with my most used apps. For example with Youtube, the video will freeze while the audio continues to play. So i have to rewind it several times to get them back in sync. With HBOgo/HBOMax, I can not get the picture of a show to fit within the screen size.
