Works quite well.
Really saves the hands when stirring your alloy. You don’t feel the heat at all with your hands this far to the side of the exhaust from the furnace.

Larger Rod won't fit in holder.
The larger of the two rods is .54". The hole in the holder is .52". It simply cannot fit. So effectively I have one stir rod not two.

Love thr holder, quality rods
Melted down 20 or so 100 Troy Oz molds of aluminum and the second rod has tons of life left on it still.
