Not round in cross section

I thought I was buying the welded rings that are round in cross section. These are just like the cheaper Chinese rings, they are punched out of sheet stock. The knot strength is reduced because of the flat structure causing hard corners. I tested a true round ring against these and found the 40lb P-line breaking off of these leaving no line on the rings. On the true round rings the line broke above the knot leaving line on the ring. Very disappointing.
