I've never had so much trouble with a laptop before.
I had a very bad experience with this thing. I initially got this computer is a gift for my mother, and for the first day it seemed to work great. Then Windows was saying that the second battery which is located in the battery was not charging when plugged in overnight. Then the next day the computer would not even turn on at all. I was actually trying to mess with it and plug in and out when the computer actually Electrocuted my hand. The screen resolution was not that great. And to get the screen off from the keyboard was not simple at all. The latch mechanism they use is very cumbersome. Needless to say I return this item and got my money back.

Bad buy
Can't think of a any other comparably worst experience. I get to work on a lot of touch devices as a professional, but never had something - as bad as this. Whether you are working with the keyboard attached or not, the touch functionality just disappears and you have to power off and power on the screen...and I had lot of connectivity issues with my mobile or accessing an SD card was a nightmare with this device. If the above was not reason enough, the display for battery said, second battery exists but is not working.Returned the device, but Amazon has deducted some amount before providing refund on a defective device??

Disappointing
Seems to do everything I need but I'm still struggling with Windows 8.UPDATE: I had to deal with HP Support in order to figure out the battery problem. It turned out that only one of the batteries was working, so the 4 hours I spent on the phone resulted in my sending the unit to HP. They sent excellent packaging for me to ship it to them. I have finally given up trying to get it to do the work I was hoping it would do (replacing my laptop for creating and running Powerpoints). It just doesn't have the power to handle what I need. It is now simply a replacement for my old iPad.

Extremely Disappointing
I liked it initially, but the keyboard would often stop responding. I could undock it and re-dock it an it would start, so that was just an annoyance. However, now the keyboard will not work at all. Perhaps it was the upgrade to Windows 8.1, I don't know, but I have spent hours online looking for a solution to no avail. So from being an affordable laptop/tablet, it has become a very expensive tablet. Also, poorly balanced: no longer an issue, since the keyboard doesn't work, but when it did, I found it annoying that the machine would tip over backward all the time because the screen is too heavy compared to the keyboard.Comes with lots of bloatware and very slow performance. But I have 4GB RAM. If you get it, should probably upgrade to 8 GB if you want decent performance.
