My students love this book!!
I teach an afternoon communicative grammar class and my ESL students absolutely love this book. In fact, they’ll ask me if we can use this book instead of the main textbook that we are kind of forced to use. The grammar introductions are short, wonderfully simple and to the point. The questions that accompany each topic are well-thought-out and perfect for practicing the grammar point. Everyone loves to talk about themselves and my students are no exception. Most questions allow them to express themselves on personal plans, opinions, issues, while using the grammar form in a meaningful way. Using this book is a great way to have interesting and humorous discussions in the classroom, while at the same time getting to know your students better. And of course, it brings students closer too, since they get to share ideas, agree on things, or laugh at them together. I’m so happy I found this book!

Perfect for the student reluctant to start a conversation
As a private ESL tutor, I value this book highly. It is very well-suited for the student who is reluctant to start a conversation. My student & I asked & answered each other 85 of the questions during a 150 minute class. Organization of topics could be improved. I have taught hundreds of students for almost ten years, and I wish I could have used this book when I taught classroom as an employee. Now as an independent tutor, this is one of my valued texts. Overall, I highly recommend it.

This resource is well organized and well worth the price.
I find this book extremely helpful as I begin to Teach English as a Foreign Language. I can look at my client's errors and easily turn to a page which will help us correct them in our 1-1 videoconferences. I use the conversational method of instruction and don't want to dwell on grammar points but find the clear grammar explanations and examples listed before each list of questions perfect to convey the point. Larry also gives helpful tips for using these questions in a classroom setting.

Good resource for higher level learners.
I like the book. I would have been happier if the difficulty level was addressed. I was looking for this content but I found the simpler questions for lower level students hard to search. Also, don't know why but when I tried to navigate the book, I had a hard time getting to where I was trying to get. I pressed on table of contents and chose a topic was was regularly sent to the wrong page. That is frustrating when I am trying to get specific information. I haven't had this problem with my device on other books so I cannot speculate as to the problem.

Teacher's text, not for reproducibles
The order seems out of whack... Not sequential. For example, we are learning conditional statements this week... And all the sections pertaining to conditionals are spread out in book... Not in logical or sequential order?? Also, this book arrived about 1 hour before my lesson, so I photocopied sections, passed them out for references... And after I went back and read them (yes, after the fact that I had already distributed them to students), I realized the explanations were extremely dense and confusing. So, this is clearly a teacher's text... Not a book of reproducibles for students

Good conversation that's grammar based.
I'm an ESL teacher and my ESL 4 students really enjoy this book. The difference with this book is that the questions are designed to use with the grammar lesson on the opposing page. Lots of questions so lots of practice. Good book!

There is a better book out there
There is a better book out there, because it is organized differently yet achieves the same goal. This book is organized strictly by grammar and not by conversation topics. The questions do not generate "conversation", simply answers to questions, that are aimed at specific grammar points. I have another similar book, which I purchased in Korea, where the questions are organized around "topics", and although all the questions do not address the specific grammar point, many, do, and you get a better chance to assess the use of the grammar point. I was disappointed by this book. I downloaded it as a kindle book, and paid to have it delivered to me in Italy, so I paid way too much for it. I rushed to get this thinking it would be better than what I had but it wasn't.

and I just love this book
I am EFL and ESL teacher for both adults and young teenagers, and I just love this book. It is such a great tool for linking grammar based lessons to real life uses. If you are an English language teacher get this book!

American English, full of language errors, waste of money
I was very disappointed when I tried this book with my class. It was not advertised as American English. If it had been I would not have bought it.It is full of grammatical errors, sentences that you cannot use etc. The order of the chapters in the book is totally illogical as you would expect chapters on a similar topic to be together. However, the book is arranged alphabetically for some reason and so very hard to find the topic you want to use.I have used it but find I have to rewrite sentences on the board which takes time .

Useful little book
Bought this to use in one-to-one lessons and I'm very pleased with it. Use it very often and it is a great way to add a particular grammar focus to speaking / conversation. Have it on my phone on the Kindle app so I ca pull it out anytime. Some questions focused on Past Perfect would have been good, but that's a small thing. Great tool for a very low price. Thanks

LEARN GRAMMAR WITH USEFULL QUESTIONS
This book really helped me to update my grammar knowledge. I felt so lucky to meet with it. Very clear, useful and understandable. You are gonna learn many daily questions while you study grammar. Highly recommend it to teachers and students or anyone who want to improve their English grammar without the push themselves.I am also expecting from its writer one more book which includes daily dialogue in the same format.
